Stitching Stuff: Week 14 of 2023

Spring is such a manic season here in Oklahoma. It was in the mid 70s, calm and sunny mid morning yesterday.  By dinner time it was in the 50s with strong winds and overcast.  It was definitely sewing weather in the afternoon.  The rest of the week we had mostly pretty afternoons, but I still did well at getting into the sewing room.

  • 15 minute days/week = 7/7 days
  • 15 minute days/April = 14/15 days
  • 15 minute days/2023 = 84/105 days
  • Success rate = 80%

This was my first 7 out of 7 week since early February.  Hopefully I can keep that up.  As the weather warms up, I'll need to change up when I'm walking and my photo expeditions.  I've been doing that after lunch, but as we move into late spring, I'm going to need to move walking to early morning or evening. It will take a few weeks to get used to a new schedule.

Have you changed your schedule to accommodate spring/summer activities?  Did you still get your stitching time in this week?

Woo hoo, you got 100% this week! Good job! My schedule changes because of work not because of the weather. Pretty much have to stay home and have to find ways to sneak out during lunches and breaks.

Yah! On getting 7 days of stitching in. The warmer days and spring activities do make a difference in my stitching time. It takes awhile for me to get on a new schedule. Our weather has been up and down as well. The spring rainy days give me a chance for more time quilting though. Enjoy your week.

You had a good sewing week! It was warm here yesterday but that wind was strong. Hubby was out for the day and I was hoping to sew, but the garden took longer than expected. Maybe this week.

Hi Kate, Ottawa's spring weather is also manic, from ridiculous heat and humidity (already) to cool and rain. When it's nice out, I'm going to try to go to my back yard and garden as soon as possible. It's the quietest and coolest time, even with the eastern Sun. Once it gets hotter, evening will be best. Glad to hear that you're doing better. Take care.

Hi Kate. It’s so nice to see you had 7/7 this week. My weather in the past week has been everything from snow to rain to sunshine today with a bitter cold wind. At least the golf course is greening up! 😉
