For the first time in the seven years that I've played along with the Rainbow scrap challenge there is no new project to start in January. Since 2012, I've started nine RSC projects and only four of them are finished projects. In sticking with my word "Finish" for 2020, I'm going to focus my efforts there this year. So the plan is to make some progress on the Wild and Goosey blocks that were started as last year's project.
The green and orange combo in the photo brought to mind images of the green shag carpet and mod looking orange chairs from the 60's (thankfully we had hard wood floors in those days, I never liked the green shaggy stuff at grandma's house). Sorry for the history detour, back to the Wild and Goosey blocks. These blocks are little, but with 13 pieces in each 3.5" block, they aren't a quick assembly. This may end being a multi year project, it's going to take a lot of these little blocks to get even a throw sized quilt.

it is good to try to finish the ones you started in the earlier years and not start a new one this year
I love the colors of the 60's!!! LOL, but then I am all about the greens and love the orange range.
What a pretty block in the oranges and blacks--nice work hugs, Julierose
I remember that green and orange! I liked the orange much more than the green. We even had an avocado green stove! Good luck with the little goosey blocks.
Great looking blocks! I had no idea they were so small.
FINISH is a great word to live by, I am partial to all greens, but am sort of over the avocado green of the 60s. I didn’t have much orange furnishings back then, but lots of harvest gold! Ugh!
I have some finishing in store too, this year! Good luck!
Oh my, I certInly remember shag carpeting. But I have to say I never really “got” it. It only looked good if you didn’t step on it (and even then only questionably so). But you little goosey blocks are so cute and will make a great multi-year project.
Shag carpet was definitely a thing for awhile, wasn't it? I never liked it much, to be honest. And the crazy colors too - definitely a 60's thing! Finish is a great word for your year!
I like those Wild and Goosey blocks! I can definitely see why they take some time to put together, though. I enjoy having a project like that, where you can make one here and there and one day there will be enough for a quilt!
Great word for the year and what neat little blocks you are adding to the pile. Lets hope you get a finish or two this year.
Oh I remember that green shag carpet and the carpet rake attachment for the vacuum. lol! I like your color combination though. Add a few more colors and it will pop back into this century.
OH I do remember that colour combo but mine was orange tiles, chairs and lime green curtains and wall clock.... But it do like your blocks...
I’m impressed with your resolve, it’s so hard not to get drawn into things, especially things we do and enjoy regularly. I remember the long pile carpets, did the vacuum cleaners ever get them properly clean?
Oh my gosh that is so funny and so true - remember those Burnt orange couches with stripes of brown?? ha ha - I really like your blocks - and Wild and goosey will be so great!!
Love those blocks... albeit retro...AnD I too am on a mission to FiNiSH.
Well done & good luck during 2020...
I admire your perseverance - I think I’d get it to pillow size!
These are great blocks. Thanks for sharing with Oh Scrap!
Slow and steady wins the race, right? I only started one new project, which I need for a Christmas present this year, or maybe I wouldn’t have started anything. It’s very wise of you to aim for finishes!
