Weekend Mental Health Stitching

Once I finish the reports that are due tomorrow, things at work should slow down a bit. Fingers crossed that's the case anyway.  I made headway today, but took a break after six hours of report writing to do some mental health stitching. All work and no play makes for a stressed out and not happy quilter.

I only managed about three hours of stitching time, but it felt so nice to play with fabric and thread.  I got started on clue 2 for Frolic, this year's Bonnie Hunter mystery.

The pattern calls for a lot more pieces than that, but at least it's a start. I was also able to finish off Hour 2 of the Winter Quilt Along.

That's the last of the blue HSTs.  Hour 3 is a bit farther along then it was.

If I get some stitching time tomorrow evening, I might just get Hour 3 finished. We'll see, I'm betting I end up staying late at work to finish those last few reports and don't get much stitching time tomorrow.

I'm now sane enough to make a go of it tomorrow.  It may be a long day, but hopefully that's the last of the long days till we get back from holiday vacation. Linking up with the usual Monday show and tell over at Monday Making.

looks like you got a good start. I'm saving the instructions for now I just didn't have time to start this year

Give a busy woman anything you want to get done -- they usually can fit everything in. I'm retired now and not all that busy usually but I seem to be bogging down on my Christmas projects. On the other hand when the sewing machine is not working at its peak bogging down does happen. I'll be back at machine sewing tomorrow. Hope your reports finish up and you can play a lot more.

I really like your black and raspberry combo for this clue! I haven't started on mine yet for Frolic -- I did however, get all of the units prepped for the December clues for the Mosaic mystery and are ready to sew.

I totally get the mental health sewing! Well put! Sometimes it gets a bit hectic and a mental break is sorely needed! Hopefully everything will slow down for you and you can regroup!

Isn't it nice to get back to the sewing machine when you've been busy with something less enjoyable. Looks like a lot of progress. Love your fabrics.

Hooray for a bit of quilt therapy, Kate!! Your Frolic clue looks almost exactly like mine. I like to make a fraction of the pieces just to have a sample of what needed to be done. Congrats on making some progress on Alycia's Mystery, too!

You're making great progress. I thought about making some Frolic blocks, maybe quarter size, but decided I should finish off a UFO for a gift first.
