The biggest focus last week was to get Christmas stuff wrapped so I could take all the packages with me to Mom's. That happened, but so did an annoying headache, so not much got done in the sewing room that first day of holiday vacation. The most visible progress on the stitching stuff is the progress on the borders for Twinkle Stars.

The first border has been added. The strips cut for the others.
Is that dark green too dark for the other fabrics? Should it be replaced with a more medium green? I'm concerned it may be too dark and compete, not complement the center.
Due to an emergency at work on Friday, I didn't get any Frolic HSTs made. I left for my visit at Mom's after that situation was resolved. There definitely will be some HSTs on the agenda this afternoon.

Your quilt is looking so beautiful and I think the green is ok, your purple looks dark that you have on already. But it depends on how you feel about it. I’m hoping will miss out the winter mix. Right now it’s just raining but all it has to do is go a little south. Have fun sewing
Is that green a batik? You could try using the back. Or use the green as the outermost border to frame everything else. What you have so far is really amazing.

I think your green looks fine, but if you’re like me, you’ll keep asking yourself that question even after it’s finished. For your own peace of mind, you might want to switch it for something lighter. It’s a beautiful quilt.

I love how you're doing that border, following the star colors! It's going to be gorgeous! It does look like you could change the green to a more medium value, but no matter what, it's a great idea for the border. Enjoy having your SIT home!
I agree that the dark green is similar in value to the dark purple so that would work okay. Hope this week is emergency-free!

Oooh, ice and snow! Or maybe that should be Ewww, ice and snow! We have had chilly weather, but no precip. Hubby has been unofficially off work this week, but he keeps getting called in. He has to run to Fort Worth in a few minutes, so there goes today too. I hope next week is all your own.
You’ve probably already worked on it, but for what it’s worth, I think I’d change out the green, as the stars in green look a lot lighter overall to me. I worked from home on the snow day and am happy it was my last day to work for the year - very much enjoying the break now with some crafty time every day so far!
