Rainbow Scrap Challenge: So Blue There Is No Orange

Work held some surprises this week. Nothing bad, but stuff that's going to add to the work load over the next few months.  Life is definitely interesting these days.  Unfortunately interesting means more home work in the evenings and less stitching time.

I'm still playing with my blue scraps this week.  That bright pile of orange fabrics just sat by the sewing machine.  The last large blue fan block did get finished.  So that set of four is done.

These are the last of the big fan blocks.  The rest of the blocks for this project will be the 3.5" squares.  I've gotten a start on the small blue squares, but it's hard to make a lot of progress in just 15 minutes a night.  Weekend's have been busy too, so things are probably going to stall a bit.  It's just one of those phases, it too will pass at some point.

Linking up with Soscrappy for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge today and with Oh Scrap on Sunday.

So sorry that work has been so crazy for you. I hope things settle down soon. Keep trying to find that 15 minutes for quilting. We are all eager to see how these fan blocks will go together!

Your blue blocks are amazing, so hang in there. Hopefully you are being compensated for your employer's invasion of your personal time. More importantly, I hope things return to normal for you soon!

I love those pretty blue blocks! Hope you can get a few minutes of sewing each day this week to keep yourself sane - I sure needed that when my work life got stressful!

I really do love those blues you have used in that block--do good at picking out great blues--bright and cheerful--and I needed a bit of cheer this morning!!!
enjoy the moments, di

The orange will wait patiently. Not to worry, life is only sometimes so hectic. Glad you are still able to get in your 15 minutes though.

You make me cringe, nails on the blackboard style, recalling the 'home work in the evenings' 30 years of my working life! Don't miss that part one iota! LOVE your blues; maybe you'll feel happier about orange when you work more with it; happened to me!

Great blue blocks - sorry to hear that work is taking up more time, leaving less for stitching. Hope you get a break over the holidays at least!

Curious to see this all come together. I'm intrigued with the idea of doing different blocks for this challenge. The blues look pretty. I'm not doing a rainbow challenge this year, but I'm enjoying seeing yours go together.

Even a little bit of progress is still progress! I love these blocks. Black and blue is a favorite color combination of mine. Thanks for sharing with Oh Scrap!
