If the weather man has it right, this next week we'll see a cool down into the 90s for most of the week. It's been so hot here this August many of the trees are dying. The leaves are brown and falling off like it is autumn. So I'll take the 10 degree drop in temps and a bit of rain that's in the forecast. We definitely need both.
Taking refuge in the sewing room seems to be my thing this summer. It's certainly paying off.
- 15 minute days/week = 7/7 days
- 15 minute days/Aug = 22/22 days
- 15 minute days/2026 = 230/234 days
- Success rate = 98.29%
It's easy to stay on track when it's too hot to do much of anything else.
How are you doing with getting in your sewing time?

Well done with your numbers! Yes, the weather is terrible this year.
We haven't had such an optimistic forecast yet - hope we do eventually. Rain has come tantalizingly close, down to the Red River but wouldn't cross over. At least we got clouds.
I'll be in my sewing room today - Hubs is better!
Our trees have been doing the same thing - it's been so hot and dry all year! Sewing is definitely often a better choice than being outside. I'm just about to finish the last of the quilting on my quilt as you go project. That will be a good accomplishment!
Hi Kate, I'm glad that the weather will be cooler for you. Such a crazy summer everywhere. We get humidity and chances of storms every couple of days but at least it's lovely and cool at night. Have a great week.
Some how a 10º drop to 90 doesn't sound very cooling, The temps here are going to the low 60s! Wow. Of course I'm going south so it'll be hotter where I'm going. Hope you get more relief soon. On the other hand sewing is getting done there!
How about the 80's? I know that soon enough I will be complaining about the cold though.
Usually around this time of the year our leaves begin to turn brown and fall to the ground due to the heat too. I would love to see a spectacular show of fall foliage come Autumn , but we shall see. I wish you a lovely week in the quilt room. Hugs.
