Best Laid Plans?

My week definitely didn't go as planned.  Grad Girl made it safely back to Texas on Wednesday. That's about the only thing that went as planned.  By the time I got home from sending her off, I wasn't feeling great. Thankfully, other than Thursday which was miserable, Covid hasn't been much worse than a bad cold. But I am ready to quit blowing my nose and hiding from My Guy.  He tested again this morning before heading to work, thankfully he's still negative.

Yesterday was the first day I really felt like doing much in the sewing room. I made some good progress on the Melodic Mystery (Meadow Mist Designs) December clue.

Six of the 9 blocks are up on the design wall. The last three are in progress at the sewing machine.

Hopefully I can finish this clue off today.  I'm going to need to work out a strategy to handle four in progress quilts at once.  I don't want to loose momentum on the two 2022 mystery quilts, but Diatom has already started and the SAHRR will start up in less than a week.  Hopefully I can work out a plan today.

Linking up with Design Wall Monday and Patchwork & Quilts for the first week of January 2023.

You might want to turn the HST in the upper right corner of the top block. You can blame that on being sick. Hope you are back to normal soon.

Hope you are feeling back to normal quickly. I'm having some "keeping up" pangs this week with Sewcialites. But I keep telling myself that it's OK, as long as I've printed the block instructions I can keep working on them even if I fall behind.

Hope your next test is negative! You are so good at following QALs and have a good start with this one.

Ugh -- so sorry you came down with Covid. I'm here to tell you that your spouse doesn't necessarily need to get it from you. My bet is you've taken all sorts of precautions to prevent that from happening. I like what I see for Melodic Melody. I need to pull mine out and take a look at it. I know I finished last month but complete mind blank on what it was! Good luck figuring out the plan to work on four quilts in progress. Hopefully you'll be back to full speed soon.

I'm so glad your husband has been able to stay healthy and that you are feeling well enough to get some sewing done. May this week be better (health wise) for you thank last!

I'm hoping you feel better soon - it really drags out doesn't it. Glad that Grad Girl made it home OK - that is always such a relief. Do you have the Life 360 app? We have it in our family so I can stalk everyone - lol!
