Life has been a bit slower the last couple of weeks. I've been able to spend more time in my sewing room, though the fabric usage isn't going to show that. The only fabric going out was the binding for the Geisha quilt.
Used last week: 0.5 yards
Added last week: 0 yards
Used for 2012: 7.26 yards
Added for 2012: 142 yards
Net Stashed for 2012: 134.74
At least there is nothing in this week, so I made a little progress on evening the scales. Making the back for the purple/yellow quilt should happen this afternoon and that should be about 8 yards out. So the out column will get a big boost.
I'm linking up with Patchwork Times today. Check over there to see who has been good and who has been shopping rather than blogging.

Backing is always so useful in crunching down the numbers! But every little bit of binding helps, too.
Good week - glad you got some sewing done, even if the numbers only show the binding.

LIfe...sometimes it just gets in the way of our quilting. You really get a lot of quilting done for someone who works full time and has a daughter who has a lot of activities.
I felt like I lost my mojo a little this week. Must be something going around. The nice weather might have something to do with it.
Making a back is always good for the soul of stash-busting. And since making backs is sort of boring, there ought to be something to keep one motivated. With all that fabric stashed this year, don't you just want to make a nest in it and roll around?
Your out column already looks great!! Have fun making the backing!
Backs are not fun to make but they do use up fabric. At least you have a lot of nice new fabric.
I love seeing big in numbers. It means someone has had a lot of fun with stash enhancement, which is just as important and stash reduction. And I LOVE your header picture.
Two near finishes - that wonderful! And you're right, your net out will get a big boost. Congrats.
Backs are great for clearing out stash. One a side note Im planning to do a back BEFORE I do a front for one of my quilts this year because by the time it comes to do the back Im usually over the project!
I'm chronicling my attempt to sew through my stash by the end of the year at http://materialmine.blogspot.com. I should have weighed or measured everything, but I do have photographic proof of how much I had when I started, and I can already combine the contents of some of my storage bins.
