Favorite Thing Friday - Spring, Mostly

Wow, Friday already.  Of course it's not surprising since the revolt of my sinuses earlier this week left me in a fevered daze for about 2 days.  I was back at work yesterday, which might have proved to be a mistake, except for the fact that the whole day was taken up with one meeting after another, so I didn't really have to think too much.  That was actually a very good thing since I was under the influence of sinus medicine, which though it clears up the drainage for a while, always makes me feel like my brain is full of cotton.  However, I am able to maintain semi-automatic functions like stare at a computer or sit in a meeting, so Benadryl is one of this week's favorite things.

The other favorite thing, surprisingly enough, is spring.  In spite of my annual spring sinus revolt, I do love the warmer weather and watching all the flowers in our garden bloom.  The Katie Roses got a jump on most everything else.  They've been blooming for a few weeks now.

Then the Clematis started to open it's petals.

The yellow roses were slow starters this year, only really beginning to bloom in the last week or so.

So at the moment, the front garden is in full bloom and is a wonderful thing to come home to in the evenings after a day stuck inside the office.

That's my favorite thing for this week.  If you want to share your favorite thing or check out other cool favorites, click on over to Quilting in my Pyjamas

Hope you're feeling better soon! Love the flowers! We don't have a lot of flowers here yet, the daffodils are just starting to die off after about 6 weeks! Trees are first showing flower buds now and it will be a little bit before we have perennials coming up.

You poor thing ! I don't suffer from hay fever or sinus when the weather changes but it must be awful. All hail Benadryl!

Im sitting here and I can actually see sun this morning but sadly I dont have the riot of colour you showed in your post. I could almost fool myself it was spring if not for that tiny omission!

I do get hay fever but it doesn't usually affect my sinuses. Otherwise spring is my favourite time of the year, I just have to wait 5 months for it.

As a fellow sinus suffer you have my sympathy. I did find using a neti pot as really helped though. A lot of people thing they are gross to use but they aren't really and do work. Try your health food shop if you are interested. Your blooms are just gorgeous. Your front garden must be a picture.
