This one was a bit easier because it's an object, you don't have to be quite so creative with those challenges.
I, as is my habit, waited till yesterday to figure out what I was going for. I tried for the artistic approach.
This interesting perfume bottle was a gift. It sits on my dresser but has never been used. Almost any scent makes my nose run, so I gave up perfumes back in college. Still I like the bottle. It's not broken, the cracks are part of the design. My aim was to make it look like a National Geographic museum photo of some historical perfume bottle. The vibes are there, maybe not the substance.
My Guy's approach gives a sports advertising vibe.
I think it looks like an ad for a Specialized bicycle. Of course the photo challenge part of the photo is the water bottle. This definitely isn't a new water bottle, it's seen a lot of use. This one has a very nice cap to cover the top and keep it clean. It's really meant for mountain biking, but even the paved roads here are pretty dusty and dirty. So it's one of My Guy's favorites.
Grad Girl hasn't done much but drive to school, go to class, then to her office to write. She's not been in the lab much so, she's had a harder time coming up with photos. But this week she was able to find a nice shot in the kitchen (her home "lab").
These kitchen spices are about the only "chemicals" she's handled since January. She did a great job of getting a good angle that cuts out most of the kitchen. It could be a photo in a cookbook don't you think? On the page with a listing of all the things you should have in your pantry to make most of the recipes in the book.
That's the photos for the last challenge. Very different approaches to a pretty common subject. I drew the next challenge card.
My photo definitely won't be a selfie of myself, I'm the exact opposite of graceful. I have some ideas, which is always dangerous.

Great photos, Kate. Your perfume bottle is so pretty and the vibe came off perfectly. I wish Grad Girl all the best as she wraps up this semester. It sounds like she is staying busy- just like her mom. Happy Easter. Hugs.
Your bottle is a pretty one! I really like the way you did the lighting in the photo. Looking for interesting photos of bottles makes you realize how much we rely on different types of them in our daily lives. I didn't realize that Grad Girl is so close to the end of her graduate program. Good luck to her in jumping through all the hoops!
Fun photos. Not what I was expecting, when you first posted the prompt. Very creative.
Cool perfume bottle, and interesting angle on the spices. Looking forward to seeing what you all do with the next card.
I love all the photos, each one is pretty personal yet fits the challenge so well.
lol you made me laugh with your last sentence! Great photos as always; love each one, so different, but yours is my favourite!
