Stitching Stuff: Week 16 of 2025

Normally we spend Easter with Grad Girl, but she's in the middle of exams and finishing up her thesis.  So for the first time in a long while, we won't be hanging out with any family this holiday weekend.  That may be just as well considering how much rain we've had this weekend. Not the best conditions for driving someplace.  Consequently it was another week on the stitching stuff front.

  • 15 minute days/week = 7/7 days
  • 15 minute days/April = 19/19 days
  • 15 minute days/2025 = 104/109
  • Success rate = 95.41%
I didn't get any scrap processing or fabric pressing done this week.  Being under the weather just wasn't conductive to getting much done other than a bit of stitching each day.

I have no scrap photos to share, but I did get a lovely picture of Queenie from Grad Girl this week.

My Guy usually sends Grad Girl a photo every day when he tells her goodnight.  She responds with a photo (it's just their thing). But if she responds with  Queenie photo, she has to send me one too.  This was the one she sent yesterday. I'm not sure what Queenie is telling Grad Girl, probably get up, you need to get busy so you can come home and pet me later.

Did you keep up with your goals to play with needle and thread this week?

Love that photo and Queenie, and the photo exchange every night is the sweetest! We used to go to sunrise service on Easter Sunday. We no longer go at all, but today would not be a good time for that service, since it has been raining since 5:30!

Queenie is living up to her name in that photo - very regal! Your Guy and Grad Girl's evening tradition is lovely. Wishing you a very relaxing Sunday and some sewing time, too!

We’re not spending Easter with family either this year. It’s ok. The habit of saying good night with photos is really wonderful.

What a great idea to send photos each night. Queenie looks like she can run Grad Girl's home all by herself! Hope you get some more stitching time in this week.
