I don't normally put two posts up in one day, but while the SAHRR is going on, I'll probably wait till the last moment to post my progress so I can link up with the weekly progress post. This week you can see everyone's progress on week 3 over at ChrisKnitsSews SAHRR link up. This will double as my normal Monday morning post for Monday Design Wall and Patchwork & Quilts.
Even being home a lot more now that I'm retired, the piecing for SAHRR is running behind. Maybe I'm just a slow stitcher? I'm still working on the Friendship Star blocks from week 2. Those are almost finished, but not quite. I've made a start on the hour glass blocks for week 3, but haven't gotten very far. This is what's up on the design wall so far.
Hard to see where I'm going from what's up on the wall at this point. Here's the EQ mock up for the plan at this point.
Catching up is probably not in my future this week. So I'm not even going to speculate on that. We'll see what the week brings. My Guy is out of town, so I'll have fewer distractions. I'm behind on my other quilt alongs so those will need to have their round at the sewing machine this week. EQ projections may be all that shows any progress for the SAHRR over the next few weeks.

Your plan for this is so pretty! Does EQ help with cutting dimensions for the blocks and strips needed to make the correct size borders? That's always challenging for me, but I keep joining in, hoping to get better at it!
Oh, love the direction you are going. I had a grouping of Hourglasses designed for my alternate project but decided against them, now I might consider putting them back.
Your plan is wonderful. I look forward to seeing the quilt evolve.
I really like the spacing you have designed for the SAHRR. Looking so good.
I like that you will be rotating the orientation of the hourglass blocks. Great colors in the quilt so far, too!
The quilt is looking so pretty. I love the colour combination
So gorgeous! Everyone's is so different, even with the same round going on ... interpretation is everything!
Your SAHRR project is so pretty! The white spacer borders keep your design very light and airy, and the colors you are using look great together! It is a challenge to keep up with the weekly prompts for me too.
What a great idea to have a plan for your SAHRR. I like your design!
It’s looking very pretty. Love your colors.
Yours is the prettiest of the round robin quilts I have seen. Maybe that's because you're taking your time to get it just right.
This is such a cheerful quilt, and I like seeing each border. Sometimes they just take a bit of thought before you know how they should come together. It's looking great!
I love this quilt more each time I see it. The colors and design are great. Maybe I need to get EQ. I am struggling to get the triangles the right size in my borders and you make it look so easy.
Your design is just great -- love the colorway.
Hi Kate, that's going to be so pretty! It's also pretty ambitious - I'm keeping it as simple as possible because otherwise it won't get done. I didn't mind making lots of hourglass blocks since those were easy once I figured it out lol. I'm catching up on my blogging before I go see this week's round - cause that will definitely distract me! Have a great week, whatever you work on!
Yours is one of my favorites! Love the colors and the use of white space.
Your blocks are coming together beautifully. Love your colors!
This is such a fun quilt to watch you work on Kate. It is so cheerful yet serene in pretty blues. Happy quilting.
This is coming along great! The blues are really soothing - I think it is a fun way to do this - making blocks and watching to see how to best use them as you go along. I am thinking I will make a stack of flying geese but not put them all together until I see what the next round is. So much fun!
Such a lovely layout, and I love the new blocks! It's going to be a sweet project. I'm a little behind too ;)
Thank you for sharing, and linking up!
Ooh, love how this is going to look!
