Week 46 of 2018: Stitching and De-Stashing

It's been a weird week. We started the work week with snow.

We ended up with just a couple of inches.

The kids still had school, though the Scientist in Training's physics test did get postponed.  It just seems awfully early for us to have a round of the cold, wet stuff.

It's Sunday, so it's time to reflect on how well the quilty stuff went this week.

Including how much stitching time I got in.  Finding even just 15 minutes a night keeps projects moving and usually if I can get myself up to the sewing room it turns into much longer.  That was definitely the case this week.

15 minutes stitching days/week = 7/7 days
15 minutes stitching days/Nov = 16/17 days
15 minutes stitching days/2018 = 301/321
Success rate = 93.77%

With the Thanksgiving holiday this week, it will be harder to get in some stitching time all 7 days, there is always a lot of stuff going on that week.  You can link up below to share how your efforts with time management went this week.

The stash report is pretty typical of my stitching efforts lately.

Fabric used this week = 0.22 yards
Fabric used in 2018 = 39.74 yards
More in than out for 2018

Some out with none in is still a good week for me, especially the "none in" part. Linking up with Quiltpaintcreate for the weekly stash report linky party.

It's supposed to be cold and windy today, so it's going to be a good day to hang out in the sewing room.  Before I can get to that, mount laundry has to be at least partially scaled.

How did you efforts at finding time to stitch work out last week?

The bush is just beautiful, too bad it means driving is difficult

I'm glad you are in the snow, because you sound like you like it. It's been cold here in TX and we are all complaining. LOL No snow here.
It was an OK week, but the outside of the house time was a bit strange, so I only had a little fabric usage. But, that is OK and life might get better in December for that stuff.

I love this idea of 15 minutes a day!! I try to do at least this much stitching, but sometimes get side tracked. I hope by joining in I will be held accountable!

We've also had snow early. Hope that's not the trend this year.
I find if I get in the sewing room I stay in there longer than 15 minutes too. Good luck this week.

We've had our first dusting of snow recently, and now have about an inch on the ground. The first dusting makes everything pretty, except the commutes. Each season, it takes some time to adjust to those icy, snowy roads! Looks like you have a good plan for the holiday week! It will be quiet here, so I expect I'll sneak in quite a bit of stitching.

We haven't had snow, but we did go below freezing a couple of days, and that is very unusual for us. I don't know whether to prepare for a cold winter or trust the wooley worms. lol But last year we had two freezing days in December (also early for us) and that was it for the entire winter.

Your stitching days percentage is impressive. It still amazes me how a few days without stitching can make the percentage plummet.

We had flurries and the rooftops had a dusting on Thursday morning, but there wasn't anything more to it than that. Today we're mid-60s and sunny! LOL! That's an impressive 75.25 hours of stitching this year...just at your 15 minutes! I'm guessing there are times when you get in more? Go you!!! :)

We're just having smoke here in California ... I love the picture of the snow with the berries.

You're doing great this year with sewing. I should probably link up with you.

Glad you had a good week - we have had cold weather here too! Hoping for a little warm up for a few weeks before Christmas!

We are running close to the same on stash, but your days of stitching are so much more than mine! I don't keep track, because it's been a hard year, but I plan to start in January, if you are still doing it. I can't do better than 86%, because I don't sew Sundays, but I'm going to use this to encourage myself to GET that 86%! Or as close as I can come. =) I know there will be days at my friend's in Tucson where I don't sew, but maybe I can at least stitch a while as we talk or drive. It's a plan. =)

Your snow pictures - brrr! No fun if school isn't cancelled! LOL I hope you had a good Sunday stitching and find some time over the holiday.
