Now that Geometry is all pressed, folded and packaged, the big design wall is empty. By the time we got home from getting all set up for the 5th grade demos, I was pretty brain dead. It didn't seem wise to make a start on a new project. So I finished off the last block #2 block for the Meadow Mist Mystery Quilt. I've got enough done to be able to lay out the center of the quilt.

The black prints don't show up so well from a distance. The orange may have been a mistake. We'll see. I still have the last set of 8 blocks to make before this one can be assembled into a flimsy. Those will have to made catch as catch can, the last graduation quilt needs to be the focus in the sewing room this month. The plan is to get going on that project tonight after work.

I think the orange is great - way to go to empty the design wall:)
I normally don't like orange in anything except fruit, but I love it in your mystery quilt. And I really like the design. I'm tempted to join in the mystery, but I need another project like I need a hole in my head!
Oh boy...what an interesting design. I like the orange just fine, but that's the way with mystery quilts. Hard to tell until you see the rest of it.
I like the orange too! It's always a happy color, to me. Good luck on getting started on the final graduation quilt. You're doing very well on that goal.
It looks stunning and congrats on shipping on that quilt for it's frosting.
Looking great! Love the fabric choices and placement
I really like the black, it is going to be striking in the quilt top!
Congratulations on finishing Geometry!! The mystery quilt is looking great - your design wall didn't stay empty for long!
I love the high contrast of the back and orange. It's a wonderful version of a great quilt.
I think that black and orange work well with each other. And your quilt will be lovely, I am sure of that.
Yay on Geometry getting off to the quilter! My Dude has picked his fabric (chemistry instead of math) but wants the same layout. So I'm excited to see your quilting! Also, I've seen the finished mystery quilt, and I think your black and orange will look great. It's a lovely pop of color!
Your Meadow Mist Mystery is looking great! Can't wait to see what they do quilting wise to geometry.
