She really helped a lot and it made getting it all on the table at the same time a lot easier.
Most of last week was spent on cleaning up the house for company. But there was some stitching tossed in here and there. I finished off all the red violet Twinkle Stars.
Twinkle Stars Tutorial by Andrea Feldbush of Soscrappy |
There's another quilt up on the design wall at the moment, so I've not had a chance to get all the Twinkle Stars out and play with them. I know there was a miscalculation and I'll need to add a few more blocks before I can sew up the flimsy. I want to check the light versus dark balance before I choose the colors for those last few blocks. But even with that I should be on track to get this one mostly assembled by the end of December.
Have you decided on your RSC project for 2016? There are so many choices I'm having a hard time picking just one. It's a good thing there is still a month left in 2015.
Now it's time for a second cup of coffee and a visit to Soscrappy to see how all the 2015 RSC projects are wrapping up.

glad you do not have the ice - I'm in Arkansas and getting darn tired of this rain too - started Thanksgiving night and has accumulated to 3.5 inches and it just keeps coming down - thankfully today it shall be lighter and less of it - I'm getting out today to walk around the stores even though I don't have any shopping I want to do I just want to move around! I remember the days of "drama teen" and do not envy you!
Thank goodness it's just rain and not ice - same here in MO. I really like your twinkle stars blocks. Looking forward to seeing them all set together in a flimsy.
We have rain now but no ice in the forecast....I see some of the country has some major woes. Ah how pretty your kitchen helper looks here ! :)
Lovely twinkle stars, especially the leopard print centre!
Hooray for the food network!
Gorgeous twinkle stars!
Twinkling through the rain with a bright spot (of help) in the kitchen. Enjoy your weekend!
so pretty. So's your talented daughter
Looks like you are having a fantastic weekend at home:)
Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! I'm glad you have rain; we have sheets and sheets of ice.
The twinkles are really lovely, looking forward to the flimsy. My granddaughter also is becoming a teenage cook/baker, carrying on family traditions.
Well we had 33 last week but it was +33C and jolly hot. It really drains you when its that hot.
Love the photo of Drama Queen. How lovely that she is enjoying kitchen activities, and a great help to you. The twinklers are gorgeous. It will be good to see how you lay them out.
Love the photo of your daughter hard at work helping! My teenage granddaughter baked macarons with homemade dulce de leche filling for Thanksgiving dinner. Aren't teenagers amazing?
I always love seeing your twinkles. They're always gorgeous!
Your last group of Twinkle Stars are just as beautiful as the rest. Can;t wait to see them all together! Enjoy the rest of your holiday weekend--hope you get some time for quilting.
Pretty apron on cute DT tending roast. Love your stars! Angela's RSC Row Along sounds very interesting.
