The 15 Minute Challenge post is a bit late today. In part, because I've been reluctant to write this last post. The challenge has been part of my weekly posts since March of 2011. It started as a way to get me upstairs into the sewing room most days. I found the biggest motivator to making that happen was the prospect of having to blog about my failure if I didn't make it up there.
Over the three years of the challenge, I've met some incredible quilters. I've learned so much from these wonderful people. We all struggle to find time to unleash our creativity while dealing with weekend sports and funky work schedules. Thanks to everyone who linked up weekly and to those who made is every once in a while.
I wish I could say that the last two weeks of my 15 minute challenge report was fantastic, it's actually pretty pathetic.
Early December was busy with end of year wrap up at work, late December has seen me laid up with a pretty severe cold. Both contributed to make this the least productive month I've had since I started the challenge. I sure hope this isn't a premonition of how it's going to go once I stop the challenge! Only 5 sewing days in the last 2 weeks. Definitely not ending on a high note here.
Even though I'm late this week, I hope you'll take the time to link up just one last time and share how well you managed holiday commitments and sewing time over the last 2 weeks.
Happy New Year!

Oh poor you hope you are feeling better soon. I'll send you some warm weather we could do with a bit of cool down here. Cool change in tonight apparently. I've been doing a bit this week but not overly much will do a blog post shortly and link up one last time.
I don't think you can give yourself a hard time -- all things considered (health and Christmas preparation and celebration) I think you did marvelous to do what you did!! Cheers and Happy New Year!! :)
You shouldn't be too hard on yourself for not finding more time to quilt over the last two weeks. The holidays make it very hard to get anything else done, and it's even harder when you are under the weather. You will get back in the groove soon.
I will really miss the 15 Minute Challenge. It has helped motivate me to spend at least a little time quilting most days. Happy New Year to you & your family!
Oh I am going to miss your Posts. They made me feel good every week cause I didn´t feel alone when I read that you DIDN`T get 15 minutes in every day. Seams some of these Bloggers quilt hours a day and I am glad to get a two or three hours a week in.
Well I am looking forward to all your new posts in 2014. Have a wonderful year filled with lots of creativity and time for yourself!
Hope you are feeling better! I'm going to miss these (somewhat for me) weekly check-ins. Thank you for having hosted these the past few years.
Looking forward to seeing how your 2014 sewing goes!
:( I'm sad to see it go! But between a cold and the holidays - you did the best you could. I'm sure the new year will be better! And thanks for the inspiration for the past three years!
Ive really enjoyed this series (although Ive been a complete slacker about participating the last 12 months - simply because there hasnt been a lot of sewing going on here at all!)
Thank you for hosting Kate- you did a wonderful job!
Kate - Sorry to hear you are stopping the 15 Minute Challenge. I was out of sewing for the past year, but did enjoy checking in and sharing what I had done last year. I was just setting things up for this year, but guess I will just do the posts for myself. So helpful to record what one has done. Thank you for all your support. Best wishes!
It's hard to say goodbye to things that have been part of our lives and made such a difference. But just because you'll no longer be hosting the challenge doesn't mean you want be spending fifteen minutes a day in your sewing room, right?
