To Do List for 11/9/2021
- Cabins and Fans: Prep quilt top for quilting, progress
- Macaron Mystery: Make flying geese for steps 4 and 5 ✔
- Unity: Make flying geese for step 8 ✔
Two of three, with progress on the third is still a good week. This week is going to be really busy on the work front, so my To Do List is going to stay pretty short and pretty much the same.
To Do List for 11/16/2021
Cabins and Fans: Finish quilt top clean up
I'm almost half way finished with removing the loose threads from the back of the quilt. I'm not so worried about threads showing through the black sashing, but there are some lighter fabrics in the fan blocks that I'm paying closer attention to so there's no black threads showing through to the front.
Macaron Mystery: Continue making flying geese for steps 4 and 5
So far I'm really happy with my fabric choices for this mystery project. I'm wondering how all the pieces are going to fit together.
Unity: Continue making flying geese for step 8
I've got enough flying geese to start another sawtooth star block. I'm only a quarter of the way done with making blocks for the last two borders. Unless I get in a lot of sewing over the holidays, it's looking like Unity will be my leaders and enders project well into the new year.
That's my To Do List for this week. Linking up with Texas Quilt Gal for this week's To Do List Tuesday. Good luck with your list this week.

You did great on your list, especially with everything else you have going on. I can't wait to see Cabins and Fans - you are tormenting me - lol!
Thank you for joining with To Do Tuesday. :)
Congrats on making such good progress on your to-do list, especially considering your crazy work schedule. I love the fabrics you are using for the Macaron Mystery!
All progress is good, you will get there eventually. Hope your week isn't as bad as expected and you find time to sew.
when I hear of people spending hours looking at the backside of their quilt clipping threads I feel like such a failure - would you believe I skip that step entirely and until recent years never heard of anyone doing that.
It looks to me like you got a lot done this week! You're always so good about cleaning up the back of your quilts before quilting - I think of you every time I'm doing that. The parts for the Macaron Mystery are coming right along!
Oh man, it can be so frustrating when computers act up. I hope that yours settles down and starts working better and leaves you with as much time to do more fun things like sew this week.
It’s such a chore cleaning up the back of a quilt! It seems the more I do it, the more frayed edges I find! Do you think starch or pressing solution is the answer? I feel your pain regarding the computer! Mine needs to be replaced, but I keep dragging my feet!
All progress count, and you did great, Kate.
Even the back of Cabins & Fans is stunning! I’m definitely not as diligent as you as far as clipping threads off the back of my quilts, but I think your hard work pays off. I really like your fabric choices for your Macaron Mystery quilt. Take care, Mary.
Great job on your list this week! Love the look of Cabins and Fans! All those Flying Geese - not my favorite block, but yours are looking great!
You do such neat quilting. I would hate for you to see my backs or all the threads I'm always picking off things. You seem to have mastered flying geese too...all so beautiful.
