Stitching Time: Week 22 of 2021

Hard to believe that we've almost reached the end of May. It's not been a good month for me on the stitching front.  Work continues to be just really busy and I don't see that changing anytime soon. That means I need to get better at carving out those 15 minutes each night.  That didn't go so smoothly this week.

  • 15 minute days/week = 4/7 days
  • 15 minute days/May = 16/29 days
  • 15 minute days/2021 = 126/149 days
  • Success rate = 84.56%
My goal is to stitch 85% of the days for the year. This week's success rate shows I'm in danger of slipping below that mark. I'm hoping that works slows down a bit in June and that I can do a better job of climbing the stairs to the sewing room each evening.

So how did your stitchy week work out?

SEW sorry that work has been challenging and is leaving you feeling too drained to stitch in the evenings, Kate. Better luck on a more successful month in June!

Getting any stitching done seems to be an accomplishment for me. Sorry work isn't easing up. I keep thinking there will be a light at the end of the tunnel, but the tunnel keeps going and going. I hope you see your light soon.

I had have a good stitching week, but probably won’t see much progress this weekend. But just stay positive and that stitching time should improve again one of these days.

Some weeks are even more complicated than others.
I hope you have a better week, Kate.

Some weeks I get almost nothing done other weeks are better. I try to be positive and keep moving things forward. Today was pretty good, but tomorrow we have a ton of house stuff to do, so it won’t be as good. Keep up with what you can. I try to stich in the mornings for a little. Then I don’t feel so bad if I don’t get anything done after work.

Sorry work is getting in the way of the fun stuff, much the same in my neck of the woods. Its turned cold here and its a good time to sit and stitch so hopefully there will be more of that for me over the coming weeks.

Hi Kate, remember not to be too hard on yourself. I didn't have enough backing fabric to finish my son's quilt so I got to play in the garden with a free conscience. I'm aiming to do a little bit of stitching during the week and hope to finish that darn sandwich on the weekend (I really, really dislike that part of the process!!!) Good luck and take care.

Hi Kate. I sewed every day, rearranged my sewing corner, spring cleaned the apartment but sure don’t seem to have done anything. My dining table is covered with piles of squares from a gifted box of scraps I need to deal with. Hope your week is going better. 😉 Carol
