Still Frolicing

The sewing mojo hasn't been real strong the last couple of weeks.  Though I did get in a solid weekend of stitching time this week.  Several projects are really close to the milestones of finished quilt or finished top. Hopefully that will help with the recovery of some of my stitchy mojo.

Storm at Sea is really close to being a finished quilt top.

The two side borders, plus the top border have been added.  So just one more border to pin on and stitch down. Sorry for such a lame photo, but SAS is so big it's hard to find a spot to lay it out so It can be measured, much less get a photo.

There is obvious progress on Frolic.

Frolic: Bonnie Hunter 2019 Mystery

Just two seams to stitch and the center will be done.  I've got a plan for the borders, so this one should keep progressing.  Frolic might just be finished before the new mystery in the fall.

I'm still making masks for a few people at work.

Mask pattern from Laundry Basket Quilts

That's pretty much it from the sewing room this week.  Linking up with the regular Monday show and tell blogs of Monday Design Wall and Main Crush Monday.

Frolic: nearly there! I predict mask makers will be making more as the first bunch get worn, lost, etc. It just won't be such a frantic pace.

Lots going on in your studio. I am sure that Storm at Sea will be breathtaking. it is one of my favorite patterns. Someday I will attempt it. Wishing you lot of sewing mojo and do stay safe, Kate.

I know what you mean about the mojo not being there. I think we all miss our guild buddies and show-and-tell more than we realize. Great progress on your projects!

Frolic is coming along nicely! little and a time and it will be done. I am thinking we should be seeing face masks sold in all the stores before you know it as more states say you should wear them all the time - people need them so we will see them I bet

Fine progress, Kate! You are moving in the right direction and will approach the finish line soon enough. LOVE that new collection of masks for your co-workers!!

Great progress! I'm not feeling a lot of quilting mojo lately but still keep showing up and hoping for the enthusiasm to return.

Pretty masks. I think the end parts of a quilt are the hardest to stay enthusiastic about. Sewing on borders, sewing a binding. It’s exciting to be nearing the end, but the end parts are the most tedious. If you’re working on several projects at that stage, it doesn’t surprise me you’re dragging your feet. I’ll just sit here tapping my foot waiting because I’m excited to see all those finishes.

Ooh, your Frolic is looking FABULOUS!! How exciting, to see something that complex coming together after all of the hard work that came before.

Yay for getting things done! I hear you on the mojo, I think it's the nicer weather, closing in on the last wedding toppers, and still a long list of wants to make that is weighing me down. But I know I will be back at it and find something to keep me going through it.

Seems like you're really close on Frolic! Does the center get trimmed so the edges are straight, or are there more blocks that get added using Y-seams? I admit I didn't follow the BH mystery this year at all!

Even the sneak peek is fun! Wow oh wow on your Bonnie mystery! Gorgeous. And always fun masks, though not such fun to sew.

I'm looking forward to seeing all of Storm at Sea in one shot. You might have to take it somewhere else for a photo shoot. Frolic is looking great. Hope you continue to make great progress on it. Your the second blogger who said they were making masks from Laundry Basket Quilts. I'm heading over to check them out.

You might not feel like you have much mojo, but I think you’re making great progress!
