A More Work, Less Play Week

Last week wasn't the greatest.  Getting home late from work, sinus headaches, housework and much needed yard work took a big bite out of my stitching time last week. The morning of yard work required allergy medicine and a 2 hour nap to fully recover from the pollen and the heat.  Even getting going at 7:30 AM it was so hot that by 10 AM I really had to quit.

So not much progress in the sewing room. About the only visible progress was on Frolic.  The last row is assembled.

The remaining sashing strips are sitting at the sewing machine ready for the last seam to be sewn.

The only other stitching of note was the completion of 2 more masks.

These two are for me. I didn't quite have enough to make it through a full week. Now I do.

That's all from the sewing room this week. Linking up with Design Wall Monday and Main Crush Monday.

Some weeks are like that Kate. We finally got a break in the heat over the weekend. It was a nice relief. I hope you have more sewing time this week!

it is too hot to do much of anything here lately and I need more exercise! We are getting a treadmill and I feel we will get our money's worth out of it this year even if it gets folded up and put away next year!

Love how Frolic is coming along. Sorry about the allergies - they are here too - and I quite despise them... Love your new masks!!!

Folic is coming along beautifully and any progress is good progress! There never seems to be enough time in a day to sew these days! Yard work, cleaning, cooking, birthdays...I just want to sew! Hope you are feeling better this week!

Fun fabric for your masks. I want to make some more, but I haven’t yet got up the gumption. Maybe today. Looking forward to seeing Frolic all put together. I really dislike that kind of heat. We’ve had nothing but rain though, and so I’d take a little of that sunshine.

Frolic will be pieced soon and is looking very nice. I'm glad you have a mask for every day now and I hope you have a better week this week.

Love the new newest masks--
I made 2 new ones in this pattern last week and added the interfacing layer--think I will make me a couple more this week--I do like the first ones I made--pleated ones--but they don't have the interfacing in them and I am worried about this virus getting a whole worse before it gets better--so feel I need that added protection of the 3rd layer--
and your Frolic is coming along nicely--
hang in there friend--
luv, di

Love Frolic!

I hate having allergies. I thought I was doing well this spring and then they hit. I think I might have most problems from a tree in our garden.

Sounds like after your last week you could use a Frolic! What a joyful-sounding, clever name. The color combo with the bright green and blue shouts happy. But also that black tells me that you are serious about being happy.

Oh wow, Frolic looks so good! Allergies are awful. I only suffer a little bit at this time of a year, but my poor husband suffers terribly. He has been taking bee pollen from local bees this year, but it hasn't helped. And his system doesn't get rid of the allergy pill he does have to take from time to time, so he's drowsy for two days... our one dog is having trouble this year too. Hard to feel productive at work, let alone at home in your happy place!
