Rainbow Scrap Challenge - Greened Up but no Sunshine Yet

Greened up but no sunshine yet describes both my Rainbow Scrap Challenge efforts and our weather.  It's been dreary, cold, and often wet.  Things are greening up, but there sure hasn't been a lot of sunshine.  On the stitching front, green blocks are slowly making way for yellow ones.  I finally finished up the last of the green blocks for Squared Away.  Here's all the blocks through March.

Squared Away Sampler designed by Mari (The Academic Quilter)

I haven't started on April's yellow blocks yet, but that's on tap for today.

The other RSC project for 2018 is to make sawtooth stars for the border of the 2014 RSC project, Inverted Stars. I need 60 plus blocks for that, so I've been making five blocks a month.  Only three of the green blocks are finished.

Just for fun, I put all the sawtooth stars up on the design wall.

I didn't distribute all the dark stars well, but this was just to see how the colors and light versus dark balanced out.  The really dark stars are either dark, dark blue or dark magenta.  The last two green stars are still under construction, but should get finished this weekend.  Then I can make a start on the yellow stars.

I love your Sampler blocks! And I know you’re working on that dress quilt behind the scenes - will you have it done in time for graduation? So many cute projects and never enough time!

Such beautiful greens... I miss green in my world... it's freezing rain today and just miserable outside

Your constellation of stars is looking super! Very smart to do five per month so it doesn't get overwhelming.

Both projects are really coming along nicely! Same kind of weather here, add blue for cold today...

Similar weather here, but we did have two warm and sunny days this week, so there is hope for more to come! Love all your stars!

Fun to see all your Squared AWay blocks - such pretty blocks! I love the rainbow of Sawtooth Stars, too. They're going to make a wonderful border!

both projects look great! Similar weather here except for the last two days when poof it went from winter to summer with temps in the 80's / more rain is on the way though and naturally something is wrong with my lawn mower ! :)

I think you're doing fine, given what you've got on your plate.
We're waiting on that ice storm that Kathy has been experiencing. It's already a couple hours late, so I don't know whether that's good or bad. Took a quilt class today, so now there's another project on my radar.
