Before finishing off the binding for the Zombie quilt, I did take some time to finish the first of two black dress blocks.
Vintage Dresses by Charise Randell |
It's definitely a bright dress, more fun then elegant I think. The pieces for the second black dress are being cut out. Hopefully I'll have some time to work on it this week in between the graduation quilts and Bonnie Hunter's mystery.
Just two more dresses left. Once I finish off the Blooms and Butterflies quilt, my plan is to add the frames each block needs as my next leader and ender project. The blocks are all slightly different sizes, so the frames are needed to get the blocks to a consistent size for sashing. I'm looking forward to getting all of these up on the design wall and playing with the layout. That's not happening till next year, but at least I have a plan.

So cute! You can't go wrong with polka dots!
I would totally wear that dress. Getting close now!
Another adorable dress. Have fun with the Blooms and Butterflies quilt!!
Cute! Love seeing your dresses!
That one is adorable, Kate! I love the bright green accents! If I ever wore a dress, that's the one I'd want! :)
Another Cutie Kate!
Another wonderful dress to add to the collection.
It does light up the room, a fun holiday party dress. I'm snowed under with En Provence so far and the loaner machine has a bobbin problem. Good luck getting all that done. Take a few deep breaths.
Oh, I really like this one! Funny, I find myself thinking, I want that dress! Where can I find one just like it? If only...if only I could fit in something with such a tiny waistline...LOL
Gorgeous dress! Can't wait to see the finished quilt.
What a sweet, happy little dress! Can't wait to see the last one!
Love your party dress!

Plans are good. Just love each of your vintage dresses, and that bright green sashing is 'da bomb' lol!
I just love your dresses and admire your paperpiecing skills. Maybe one day I will learn to love doing it.
That dress is adorable!
Love the colors again that you picked out for this dress. They are all adorable.
I can't wait to see how you finish off your dresses. I have the pattern and am debating how I want to use it. Thanks for linking up with Oh Scrap!
These darling little dresses are still on my "want to make" list! Yet another beauty to add to your collection!
Another lovely dress! The bright green looks amazing teamed up with the black spot!
Love the new dress! Every good wardrobe needs a few fun polka dots! Not that I'm biased, or anything... ;)
