Rainbow Scrap Challenge - A Little Green Dress

It was a short week, but it certainly felt long.  We were glad to see Friday roll around again.  Drama Teen is still in Florida hanging out with friends.  It's been really quiet around here since she's been gone.  I have been taking advantage of the solitude to get in a bit more sewing time.  Still, I'm ready for her to come home.

The sewing time this week paid off.  There is actually a Vintage Dress block to share today.  It's definitely green.

 Vintage Dresses by Charise Randell

I love the fabric, though it's pretty neon.  You definitely couldn't be a wall flower in that dress.  This one should really perk up the rest of the dresses in the quilt.  The second green dress has been started, but it will be made from the most complicated pattern in the set, so it will take a bit to get all the pieces prepped and then assembled.

My Guy wants to go photograph wildflowers this morning, so that's on the agenda to start the day.  I do hope to be in the sewing room this afternoon. Plans are to start prepping Allietare for quilting and getting the back made.  There probably won't be much progress on the second green dress this weekend.

Check out all the other rainbow blocks posted over at Soscrappy.

Another dress I'd like to wear even though I am a wallflower! A walk through wildflowers sounds like an excellent way to start the day.

What a pretty dress! I love the fabric! I noticed my bright green blocks brightened up the rest also, when I laid them all out together.

Very cute. Looks like something my mother would have worn in her younger days.

Lovely late 1950s style; neon was "in" then! I love all these dresses, and admire you patience with paper piecing.

This green fabric works perfectly in color and scale for the dress.

Love the green dress. It is not neon, plus the pretty flowers make it ver feminine, nice and cool for a summer date.

Every one of your dresses have been just beautiful! I'm certainly glad I don't have to pick a favorite - it would be impossible!
