Happy Holidays! Our Christmas preparations are almost done. I finished all my wrapping this morning. Now My Guy has taken over the sewing room to finish up his. I'm going to sit back with a cup of coffee, reply to a few emails, catch up on a few blogs before I get serious about doing too much of anything else today. As much as I love Christmas, it's a good thing it happens only once a year.
Most of the last week has been devoted to holiday preparations, but a bit of sewing happened here and there.
Used last week: 0.48 yards
Added last week: 0 yards
Used for 2012: 38.39 yards
Added for 2012: 378.88 yards
Net stashed for 2012: 340.49 yards
I'm definitely going to finish the year in the red. I have one back to make after the holidays, so that should make a nice jump in the out column before the end of the year. Next year's goals will be focused on stash usage. I may not even put a goal on the incoming fabric. Not the most balanced approach to reducing one's stash, but I'm ready to try something a different.
Check out all the other stash reports over at Patchwork Times.

Merry Christmas and thanks for sharing your quilting life with us.
I am not sure how I want to count my stash busting in 2013 yet. I like the idea of knowing how much comes in and that really helps me not to bring any fabric in that doesn't have a specific purpose.
Ah, well, you knew it would end like this. The main thing is you have enjoyed your output and your collection of fabrics. And they have been planned, not arbitrary, purchases.
Have a wonderful Christmas. It's 5:50am Christmas Eve here and I'm off in an hour to shop for presents and food -- I've never been so disorganised!
Merry Christmas! Hard to believe another year is almost done... I hadn't even considered what I did, or did not, accomplish this year in terms of my sewing/quilting! Now realizing the year is almost done it makes me reflect a bit on what happened, but I think in general I feel pretty good about the year. I've made some more self-discoveries as far as what I want out of my sewing/quilting, and I did actually manage to complete some projects. I really didn't buy much material at all this year (GASP!! I can hear it from all of you out there! lol), but I did gain a big chunk of somebody else's stash instead.
Enjoy the day today and have a wonderful Christams and New Years!
Next year!! There's always next year! I've chosen a project for next Rainbow Challenge--isn't it fun?? Merry Christmas!
I'm not sure what goals (if any) I'll set for 2013 yet either -- other than keeping track of it. It was really eye-opening to look at how much I net added this year, knowing that I started at zero, not counting what I already had. Whew! Merry Christmas, Kate!! :)
Your header is lovely!
I quit counting my in yardage this year and am not sure what I'll do next year... It's all a learning process anyhow, right?
I bet you stash is so brimming with wonderful fabrics that you'll be able to do any color challenge, any quilt next year just using it.
Merry Christmas!
