15 Minute Challenge - December 4th

Christmas is only 21 days away!  That's only 3 weeks!  Oh boy, I'm even more "behinder" than I thought.  Not so much on Christmas prep, but on work stuff.  With the end of the year approaching, I've got a lot to get done.  I can see a few long days in my future, which means not much sewing for a couple of weeks.  Not that I've been setting the sewing room on fire anyway, but last week wasn't too bad.

I managed to find at least 15 minutes to sew on 4 of the last 7 days.  The middle of the week still seems to be my downfall.  I can usually manage to carry the momentum from the weekend into Monday, but then usually struggle the next 3 nights to make it back into the sewing room.  To expect to sew 7 days each week is really unrealistic based on my schedule, so I may have to set my goals a little lower.  I seem to average about 5 days a week.  That may be as good as it's going to get while I'm working full time and have a teenager at home.

How well are you doing at meeting your expectations regarding your sewing/crafting time?   What are your biggest barriers to finding time to stitch a bit?  Link up and share how your last week went.

When you put it like that it seems like it's Christmas already. Well, I guess it must be because I have two parties this week, two next week (one I won't make) and more to come after that. Nice week. Hope you get less behinder this week.

My work schedule is also a big hindrance to my sewing time these days. Any time my work hours have to shift, I usually lose out on that day at the machine. That and kiddo's after school activities. Thankfully holiday break is coming up soon for both her and I!

I don't work full time, but I have two littles at home, one in school, and one on the way. My biggest hang up is being so tired that I read on the web rather than tuck up to my sewing machine.

Making a ShORT to do list seems to help, though, as I like to check tasks off each day!

Hahaha! It cracks me up that I love these reports because I can't wait to see what background you've used for them. Love this poinsettia one!! :)

I think five days a week is a good goal! Life is busy, especially in the holiday season.

Luckily for me work has quietened down now. Have to admit being really tired though and I will be glad for 2 weeks of nothing once Xmas gets here. I don't have any more shop deadlines which will slow my momentum down now though.

Missed this weeks link up but I did keep up the challenge just don't have any pictures to show because it is all secret stuff and haven't had time on the computer. Its 5.30 am and I am supposed to be doing some study lol. Hopefully next week will be a bit more normal and I will get back to a post.

I planned for tomorrow to be a crazy sewing day but Little P is popping over tonight for a sleep over so I think thats going to rule out any crazy sewing plans I have !

It's been a sewing desert here lately....

Don't beat yourself up over it -- it's a busy (and tiring) time of year!
