It's the "bones" of block 1 for the The Sofa Quilt. I'm still working on getting all the flying geese sewn together, but I wanted to lay out a few blocks on the design wall to see how they would look. I don't normally work the way Judy has been giving the instructions. I'm motivated by seeing the blocks come together, so I usually cut and sew enough to actually make a few blocks, then go back cut and sew some more. Maybe not the most efficient way to put things together, but typically I'm not patient enough to do all the assembly line sewing and assemble the blocks last.

I'd always wanted to work my way through a cookbook, Julie & Julia style but as a single woman I couldn't eat all that food. So wanting to work through a book, I chose 501 Rotary-Cut Quilt Blocks by Judy Hopkins. Your 15 Minute Challenge has kept me on track (even though I don't report any more). If I win, I'd like the Christmas Tree.
I joined the blogging community just to keep a record of my quilts. I'm glad you did Stash Report and Design Wall, because I started coming here to see "that other Kate in OK"! I like how your blocks are coming together - I usually sew the way you do, too!

I joined this fabulous community because of Miss Quilting in my Pyjamas. She made quilting look fun, so I thought I'd give it a try. So glad I did...cause her blog led me to yours. :)
What a great milestone - congratulations.
I changed my blog from "Never Too Hot To Knit" to "Never Too Hot to Stitch" when I realized I was spending almost as much time sewing as I had been knitting! I started reading quilting blogs because my first two quilts were made from instructions found on the web. The only time I've partially followed a pattern was my second quilt - it was based on the Modern Sampler Quilt by Elizabeth Hartmann from Oh! Fransson.
I think I prefer the Santa panel.
I love that block and the blues are my fav. I started blogging for the same reasons you did, work didn't allow me to attend the local quilt much. And they are all older than my grandma and the quilt police to boot. Plus, I needed to get fresh ideas and encouragement from others who are all ages, styles and no police! I love giveaways and I would be thrilled with any of the panels. Thanks!
I have always kept journals and blogging just seemed the next step. It allows me to go back and see how I have evoked or regressed with pictures even. Those pictures are one thing my paper journals didn't have and how I wish they did! I would love either the Santa or the Christmas tree.
Congrats on #500. I started blogging to post to DWM too. It just grew on me. I like the Christmas Tree panel.
I also began my blog to participate in Judy's stash reports. It helps me to rethink fabric purchases, keeps me out of quilt shops too!
Just wanted to say that I enjoy your blog and all your quilting experiences. 500 posts that is truly a milestone in blogging. Congrats!

I began to blog to let my family know what I was up to and it grew from there. I also need motivation so I have my blog and my posting to keep me moving forward on my projects and quilting is what I do. Congrats on your 500th post - that is an achievement! I'd like the manger panel should I win.
I can't remember how I found out about quilting blogs but I began reading them and enjoyed seeing what other's were doing and was inspired by their work. I started blogging because I love to talk about what I am doing and didn't find the local guild fulfilling.
I am making two Christmas quilts this year for two of my adult grandchildren. Either of the last two panels would go great with one of them. I never find panels when I am shopping.
Congratulations on 500 posts! Like you I enjoy the community of having weekly linky parties. I started blogging to share progress with other people working on Bonnie Hunter mystery quilts. Speaking of progress, your Sofa quilt is coming along nicely. I also prefer to finish a few blocks to help me find motivation to keep going.

The Christmas tree panel very pretty!
I started to blog just to keep a journal of the project I have done and doing. But then, I make friends and we shared thought and comments.
I was a connecting Threads customer, that lead me to Quilt With Us. You and I were in the same CountryJunk'tion BOM (Seeing Stars) which lead me here. Now I am a regular reader here and Cat Patches, Quilting in My Pyjamas, and Patchwork Times. I really enjoy your blog and thanks for sharing with us.
