Stitching Stuff: Week 51 of 2025

It's the Sunday before Christmas. Just one more full week left in 2025. That's really hard to believe.  This week wasn't so busy as last week, but for some reason I was really tired early in the week. Maybe fighting something off as it's that time of year all kinds of yucky sicknesses are floating around.  At any rate, that's what ate into my sewing time this week, There was one day where I just felt yucky and ended up going to bed really early.

  • 15 minute days/week = 6/7 days
  • 15 minute days/Dec = 19/20 days
  • 15 minute days/2025 = 309/354 days
  • Success rate = 87.29%

Most of my stitching time this week has been focused on finishing off a Christmas gift.  Are you done with your holiday sewing or has it taken over your life?

We will end up hosting dinner for our daughter and her family (plus 4 step-kids and mother-in-law) on Thursday, so today is last minute grocery shopping. Then hopefully I can finish up the one or two things in my sewing room. Hope you feel better this week, feeling yucky is never fun but especially during the Christmas season.

I hope this is a good productive week for you, and you get that Christmas present finished! It's always such a busy time of year. I just keep adding things to my to-do list!

Feel better, Kate. It sucks being sick at such a busy time of the year. Erik and Mae are cooking Christmas dinner, and I just get to cruise. No holiday sewing here…and no shopping. We’re a family of adults, and we quit exchanging gifts several years ago. Sure takes the stress out of the season. Getting ready for a trip though…that’s something to stress over.

Bummer -- sorry you've been feeling under the weather. I'm not making any holiday gifts this year. I might try to embroider a winter sweatshirt for myself after Christmas but don't know if I actually will or not! Feel better soon.

Hi Kate, you did 6 out of 7, so good for you! I've been so tired that I haven't done much - or at least not as much as I wished I had....but it was a wish, so I didn't fight the urge to hide in a book. The Christmas tree is up and I've finally taken a look at the presents I bought....so the next couple of days will be to supplement those. I wish you a wonderful Christmas/holiday. Enjoy!
