This time of year when I type the title of this weekly post, my mind says no that can't be right. Just two weeks left in 2025? Really? I've been slowly taking care of Christmas stuff. I've also been taking some sanity time in the sewing room this week.
- 15 minute days/week = 7/7 days
- 15 minute days/Dec = 13/13 days
- 15 minute days/2025 = 303/347 days
- Success rate = 87.32%
I had a good week on the stitching front, though my only effort on the BH mystery has been to collect the clues. At this point, collecting the clues then deciding what parts get made once the reveal comes out may be my approach this year I very rarely make a BH quilt completely to her pattern.
Have you been able to work in some sanity time in your sewing room this week or has Christmas prep taken over completely?

Quilting time definitely helps with my sanity (as long as I'm not racing to meet a deadline!) Enjoy whatever time you get in the sewing room in between the Christmas prep.
Sanity time is a good title for it. My sewing room is a bit messy right now, but hopefully I'll get things sorted out today.
I am also collecting the BH clues. Since I made Indigo Way as a college quilt for my daughter, she has been interested every year. By waiting for the reveal, I can decide later and work on it when life isn't as busy.
I enjoy any stitching and find it takes my mind off so many things but slow stitching is especially good for that. Time is moving along so fast.
I've seen "Week 50" on more than one blog this week, and it always surprises me! December is definitely a busy month, but I'm trying for that 15 minutes of sewing as many days as I can. It helps keep me sane! :) Saving the clues for the BH mystery is a good plan.
I felt the same about writing that 5-0 this week. I'm so NOT ready for Christmas yet.
It is hard to believe we are nearing a new year. This month is flying by. It sounds like you are staying busy yourself. Enjoy your quilting time this week, Kate.
acckkkkk that is crazy!!! GLad we have made some progress over the year haha
Hi Kate, I'm glad you had some sanity time in your sewing room. I did also and it was so, so good! I've finally started FMQ again. It had been way too long! I'm enjoying it and feel the stress leave :-)
