Week 16 of 2020: Stitching Stuff

Yesterday it was much warmer and sunny.  We took to opportunity to deal with a tree with branches that had overgrown onto the roof  That involved ladders, loppers, saws and very large trash bags.  Plus a dose of Aleve before bed last night.  Even so, I'm moving just a bit slowly this morning.  Stitching time was a bit limited this weekend but I did manage to work in my 15 minutes on Saturday even with the battle of the branches. How did you do at finding at least 15 minutes to stitch each day?

My stitching week wasn't so bad.

15 minute days/week = 7/7 days
15 minute days/April = 17/18 days
15 minute days/2020 = 99/109 days
Success rate = 90.83%

I managed at least minimal stitching time each day this week.  Enough to make progress, but not as much as I would have liked. Hopefully you had much better luck finding more stitching time each day.  You can link up at the bottom of the post to share how your stitchy week went.

My April One Monthly Goal is to finish the Winter Quilt Along project.  I'm making progress stitching down the binding.

I've turned one corner and got the label stitched down. So that counts as really good progress in my book.  I'm hoping to make some more good progress on the binding this afternoon.   Linking up with Kathy's Quilts for Slow Stitching Sunday.

Did you manage to work in 15 minutes of stitching time each day last week?  Link up below and share your adventures in stitching and social distancing.

because we have been retired for ages we are in our routines where I always have time to stitch in between yard work and household chores I don't have to make time for it it is just there

I like that cross stitched butterfly; it reminds me of the kits I used to stitch many years ago. You are moving forward with your projects...any stitch laid is progress. We have been clearing some brush from our trails so I know what you mean about being achy but it is good to keep moving.

The colours of your backing and binding are really beautiful! Enjoy your relaxing binding today!

You are doing great, even with a day cutting branches. And so close on your April OMG. Your post reminded me that I forgot to make a post for my April OMG. Oh well. This is not a productive month for me anyway.

Love those blues in your quilt. I have been trying to make time for yard work when it is warm enough for me to work outside. Happy Stitching!

Between your 15 minutes and PHD it looks like progress is being made, even if not as much as you would like. I am ready for Hubster to return to work from work!! LOL. He is home until May 1st, and then I hope they don't extend it. I love him, but I want my normal back.

Love that you are making good progress on OMG! It's something that keeps me forging ahead focused on one thing to finish. Great stats. Wow, that tree was something, I'm tired just from cleaning and bathing 2 dogs today. Hope you are feeling better tomorrow.

Working on a binding is definitely great progress! I look forward to seeing its completion! You are braver than I am with the tree trimming!

That beautiful binding goes perfectly with the backing fabric. Gosh, that sounds a bit hairy climbing tall ladders and chopping down branches of a tree. Hope you are feeling less sore soon.

You have made good progress.
I'm happy to say I crafted every day.

I always worry when my husband works on the palm tree out the front of our house. Its too tall to safely get to the berries now which weigh a lot but we have to try and get them down before they fall down, I think it may be time for a professional to come in a get rid of it. It is amazing what new muscles you discover climbing up and down ladders.

It warmed up here this weekend too and we had some good sunshine. I got a binding on the quilt I finished quilting last weekend and got two sides stitched down and also started a new table runner - good progress for sure!

If you are making progress on the binding, you will make it in time! I love the handwork on bindings so much! I like to watch a good show while snuggling under the quilt!
