Scrappy Stuff

There's not been a Rainbow Scrap Challenge post on my blog since last March!  I knew there hadn't been many this year, but none in almost 6 months?  When I think about it, there are a few obvious reasons.  Both my personal and my professional schedules have been a bit nuts this year.  I don't have as much time to draft blog posts, I've chosen to stitch rather than get photos together and write.  Plus this year's RSC project, Wild and Goosey, isn't coming together very quickly.  Those little blocks take a while to get done. This is all I've gotten done so far this year.

I just finished cutting a bunch of purple scraps for this month's color, but don't have any purple blocks started.

But there are some purple scrappy blocks back up on the design wall.  These are the blocks from the 2015 Rainbow Scrap Challenge.

Twinkle Stars
Tutorial by Andrea Feldbush of Soscrappy

It's way past time to get these into a finished flimsy.

So I've got two rows back up on the design wall and have started sewing the blocks together.  I'm excited to get this quilt to the finished stage.  My One Monthly Goal was to get all the blocks sewn together.  Hopefully I can do that by Monday!

Linking up with the weekly RSC linky party and on Sunday with Oh Scrap.

Glad you are at least getting to sew! Your SAS is beautiful and those twinkle stars are too!

Your schedule sounds like mine: sewing is happening, but photos and blogging? Not so much. I love your Twinkle Star blocks and am so eager to see this come together!

Better to spend what precious time you do have sewing rather than getting blog posts together and I’d say you’ve been coming along very well. Love that wild and goosey and the twinkle stars are adorable.

What a wall of beauty! Love those stars and your wild & goosey look amazing. I can see how they take a bit of time but I'd say well worth it!

I love the Twinkle Star Block and remember doing them for an RSC quilt a few years ago. Yours are so varied and lovely! They are a definite contender for one of my 2020 RSC blocks.

Twinkle stars are gorgeous and i know what you mean about the goosey blocks. I started making them before i retired. If i could make some on a weekend before heading out on another business trip i still felt like a quilter.

I'm also super behind on the RSC. I don't think I've completed my blocks since February or March! I'm thinking I might just hold them over until next year. I love your twinkle stars!!!
