Week 36 of 2019: Stitching and De-Stashing

The week was fast, but thankfully the weekend has allowed for a slower pace.  Sometimes I find that it's harder to make my way to the sewing room when there's no time pressure.  I can spend another hour on the computer or reading or whatever.  Then before I know it it's bedtime and I haven't even walked into the sewing room.  When the schedule is full, it forces me to consciously allocate my sewing time.  How about you? If you have lots of time do you have problems directing yourself to the sewing room to get in at least your 15 minutes for the day?

Even with the busy week and the attack of the lazies yesterday, I still managed to work in at least 15 minutes of stitching stuff every day this week.

15 minute days/week = 7/7 days
15 minute days/Sept = 7/7 days
15 minute days/2019 = 222/250 days
Success rate = 88.8%

The de-stashing rate went up for this week.

Fabric out this week = 0.36 yards
Fabric out for 2019 = 36.34 yards
More fabric in than out

I'm hoping to hit 60 yards out for the year. I need to get busy to meet that unofficial objective.

How had did your stitchy stuff go this week?  Did you get an attack of the lazies or did you burn the midnight oil working on a few projects?

I did find time, the last 2 days due to enforced sitting in the car or at a ski tournament. LOL! 4+ hours in the car and 9-4 at the tourney made for lots of knitting time. Sewing time is like you say, when I don't have a finite time frame I end up wasting it on the computer, or other things.

I came across a hand quilting project last night and thought about getting back into quilting again. At least I could do it downstairs where it is cool. But to answer your question, I'm that way on a lot of things. If I get up really early in the morning when I have plenty of time to get ready to go somewhere, I might spend the time eating slowly while reading and then find myself out of time to do more than slap on a little makeup and rush out the door.

I don't find time to work things in when I'm too busy. But I have gotten back into the swing of sewing after moving! I haven't decided if I would not count the days of moving or if I will count them as zero minute days. It's so great to find time to sew.

At least I had a slower weekend this last week, this next week is looking busy again. Hubby and I have been watching rerun's of Xfiles which are on every week night at 7.30 we watch, have our after dinner cup of tea , he usually falls asleep before then end (often before the cup is finished which makes for some fun) and I stitch so most nights its easy to get 15 minutes done.

I have the same problem. When I have lots of time, I figure I can go "later" and then wind up wasting that time away and have to rush through to do the things I planned to do "later" and sometimes not be able to get to them all. I guess that is why they say if you want to get something done, ask someone who is busy.
