WIPS - Something New

Wow, it's Wednesday already.  Drama Teen goes back to school tomorrow, maybe.  She was at school all day yesterday helping her Journalism teacher move into her room in the new addition, which DT says really isn't finished yet.  Some the rooms still don't have any desks and they were still working on the wiring.  The school system is supposed to text blast us if school can't start on Thursday. It's not a problem for us since DT has long been able to stay home on her own, but a number of parents who have younger kids will not be happy with the delay.

I've managed to do something to my back, so there hasn't been a lot of sewing this week.  I have finished up a couple of Twinkle Stars since last week.

Twinkle Stars, Tutorial by Andrea Feldbush of Soscrappy

Just one more red block to finish, then I can move onto making a few black stars as this month's Rainbow Scrap Challenge blocks.

There is a new WIP up on the design wall, Midnight Mystery

This month's clue is to make 34 flying geese.  I've got a ways to go on those yet.  Here's the fabrics I'm using for this mystery.

All but the tone on tone red have been in the stash for a while.  So I'm using this project to move some of the older stash out, so my newer stuff still will actually fit on the shelves.

What's your latest WIP?  You can find more WIPs over at Esther's Quilt Blog. On Thursday, there's Needle and Thread Thursday at My Quilt Infatuation.

  1. Great fabric choice for the Mystery..........

  2. Mystery quilts are exciting; looking forward to more. And I LOVE your twinkle stars! They are just fantastic. That is going on my bucket list!

  3. Beautiful fabrics! Sorry about your back. I hate it when that happens.

  4. Great looking fabrics and flying geese!

  5. Very pretty fabrics and your stars are beautiful! Hope your back gets better soon.

  6. Your new Twinkle Stars are very pretty. I really like the fabric you used for the flying geese.

  7. Your twinkle stars are fabulous! I've finally figured out what color scheme I'll use for my own next year.

  8. Kate, I love your wonderful Twinkle Stars! I hope your back feels better soon. I found you on the WOW link up.

  9. I just saw this post. I like those color combinations you are using for the mystery quilt. In fact, the red and black flowers look like some I have in my stash that is called Carmen. I need to move it out too!
