Rainbow Scrap Challenge- Butterflies

After last weekends solo stitching retreat, I had high hopes for making some progress this week.  That lasted till Tuesday night when I came home from work with a sore throat and a slight fever. It went downhill from there.  After pretty much sleeping through Wednesday and Thursday, I went back to work Friday.  Friday evening was spent in the recliner asleep before Drama Teen got me up to go to bed.  So needless to say, there's not been a lot of progress made on much of anything.  I finished the purple butterfly last weekend.  Here are the 5 completed butterfly blocks:

Scrappy Butterflies
Block is available in EQ 7 Block Library

Now to pick out the fabrics for the green butterfly, finish the HSTs for the Inverted Star and finish up all the purple blocks for the sampler.  Maybe one day I'll get caught up.

Check out Soscrappy for this week's crop of green blocks and projects.

Im not going to ask you for a note to explain why your homework wasnt done. Your post is evidence enough!

Hope you've managed to sneak in lots of rest time so far this weekend.

Don't get too worried you will catch up when you feel better

This is going to be a gorgeous quilt. I am behind. I need to do two months to catch up.

Love the butterflies and I'm looking forward to seeing your green combination. Hope you recover quickly. You'll get caught up. One good day with quilting as your focus and you'll be there.

Love your butterfly blocks. Where did you get the pattern? My late mother loved butterflies and I would love to make a scrappy quilt of butterflies from here fabrics

remember, it's about enjoying yourself not winning a race. you have to take care of your health and family too . . . the quilting deadlines sometimes are too much stress.
when you are feeling better it will be much more enjoyable.

your butterflies are wonderful and seeing them grouped together is inspiring.
