Unfortunately, being at the courts really put a dent in this week's stitching efforts. Even so, all the borders did get stitched to Evening Star Saturday evening, so it is now a finished flimsy.

Sorry for the dark picture, I didn't have a lot of time yesterday to get good photos. Next step is to get the back pieced and then send it off for quilting.
While I had all the photography equipment out, I finally got a shot of the finished Fat Quarter Stars quilt (which was finished back in November).

I'm still looking for a name for this quilt. It's intended as a gift for a family friend who is a mathematician. At the moment, "Counting Stars" is the front runner.
Neither of these are actually on the design wall, but there hasn't been much change in what's up there this week. Hopefully, I'll more to show on that front next week. You can check out all the other design walls over at Judy's Patchwork Times.

Love them both. You remind me that I also need to work on my FQ stars. I have the first 7 blocks done. Another UFO.....
Wow! I'm speechless. Both of your Star Quuilts are gorgeous. WTG!
Love both of them, Yay for finishing Evening Star, I'm looking forward to seeing it all quilted and finished.
Seeing stars, are you? Both are lovely. I just spent a lot of time trying to come up with something relating math to astronomy as a name for your quilt. The best I could do was Constellations. There were other obscure terms, but over my head.
Ooo, flimsy stage -- you go girl!
"Counting Stars" seems good to me!
Two gorgeous flimsies Kate.
Im hopeless with names so you're on your own but you definitely have to go with something with Star in the title.
LOVE Evening Star! It looks fabulous! And I like Barbara's suggestion of Seeing Stars for the other one. Maybe I'll steal it for my fat quarter stars. ;)
The quilt turned out great. I like Counting Stars. I like Acute Stars too. Get it? A cute? lol (also means angles less than 90 degrees)
lovely quilts. The star quilt is gorgeous finished and that border is so dramatic. Lone stars are awesome and yours is great. I think Calculated Stars is fun!
They are both great -- I was thinking star gazing, but there's nothing mathy about that.

Lovely flimsy! Quilting will only enhance the star.
Naming quilts is hard, but looking at this one is very easy!
Your Fat Quarter Stars looks great, Kate -- Counting Stars ... or Star Watching ... it's very pretty! :)
