Stitching Stuff: Week 23 of 2026

We've had rain and a couple of hot, humid days this week. Perfect stitching weather.  Hot and humid is even less fun than being out in the rain. Playing in the sewing room was definitely the preferred activity this week.

  • 15 minute days/week = 7/7 days
  • 15 minute days/May = 30/31 days
  • 15 minute days/June = 6/6 days
  • 15 minute days/2026 = 155/157 days
  • Success rate = 98.73%

June is off to a good start on the stitching front.  I'm making good progress on my to do list and on my goals for the year.  It's a nice place to be just before we hit the halfway point in the year.

How are you doing with your stitching goals?

The sewing room is always the best place to spent time ;)) Great numbers!

Almost every day I've stitched on something, and every time I do it I think about your 15 minutes. It has made a big difference for me to do this - it keeps my hand in the game!

It has been hot here, too, but not humid like you experience. Even so, that makes for good sewing time. Glad you're getting time in the sewing room every day!

Hi Kate, your still doing great on your stitching! That's why your quilts are slowly getting done :-) I've been slowly working on FMQ my Rainbow Neighbourhood quilt - it's slow going but it's actually been good. I am avoiding the left turns but so far so good!

That hot, humid weather is spreading here too. Any day with no humidity is wonderful. And, we had several consecutive days with low humidity and low 70s. It was lovely. I made sure to get a few minutes out of doors every day but I sure like the low humidity days. Or I'm in my basement studio feeling cool. Yea for keeping up with goals this year!

The heat and humidity is what stopped me from cutting the flannel. It needed to be pressed and it was just too hot to have the iron on.
