My sewing room mojo was a bit sparse this last weekend. I ended up reading most of Sunday afternoon. But I did finally make it up to the sewing room for a couple of hours before dinner.
Other than the 2025 Guild BOM, the Bonnie Hunter Lupine and Laughter Mystery is the only quilt started last year or for that matter this year, that's not a finished quilt top. I've been working on what Bonnie calls the alternate blocks.
Six blocks finished over the last couple of weeks. What looks like black is actually a very dark purple. I'm making my version half sized. So I only need 6 more of these blocks. So half way there. I have cut most of the pieces for the main block, but haven't started assembling those yet. I'll get these done, then start on those.
Linking up with Patchwork & Quilts and Sew & Tell Monday.

You've done a good job all year! Your Lupines quilt will be beautiful, and since there is no deadline it's all OK.
Halfway is a nice milestone; the blocks look lovely!
The alternate blocks, as you show them, make a modern-graphic statement of their own! Hope your week goes well.
I don't remember what the main blocks look like, but I do like these alternate blocks all on their own! You're so good at working steadily along on projects like this. It will be a finished top before you know it!
It’s a very pretty color combo.
The alternate blocks are cool, and you've made great progress. I look forward to seeing your work on it.
I'm still dragging my feet on Lupine and Laughter blcoks until school is out for summer next week.
Every now and then our sewing mojo wanes. It sounds like you made good use of your time though. Lupine and Laughter is so pretty. I really like the color combinations.
Your alternate blocks are beautiful, I love this color combo, sweet and serene. Half way is really satisfying! Have fun stitching those pretty blocks, and the main blocks too. Thank you for sharing and linking up your beautiful work in progress!
