This week's SAHRR prompt comes from Kathleen McMusing, "Make it a Double". My first approach was to go to Electric Quilt and type in "double" on the search line in the block library. The Double X block looked interesting.
I don't have a lot of lights in the left over fabrics I'm using for this quilt. I went with what seemed reasonable.
My fabric choices didn't result in very distinct HST corners, but I'm OK with them being a bit muddy. It's still a fun block and looks pretty good with what is already up on the design wall.
My plan is to wait till I finish all the prompts before deciding where each block goes. I wonder what the third prompt will be?
Linking up with Kathleen McMusing, Patchwork & Quilts, and Sew and Tell Monday.

I like your block with those subtly different squares - it looks beautiful!
It's fun to see your blocks growing, and I look forward to seeing how you finish once all borders are revealed!
It's fun to see all the double variations and I like that this block asks you to look a bit closer for more detail.
I like that block! And your fabric choices are so pretty!!
Nice choice! That electric blue is stunning! Thanks for sharing in Sew & tell.
Your SAHRR looks great and I love those blues.
That's a neat block, Kate! I think those corner triangles give it some sparkle. I'm still loving your blue and white combination!
I"m such a fan of your colors, and love how you used them in this Double X block. Beautiful!
This is another lovely block :)
Gosh I love these rich blues Kate! It's an added challenge (which I personally love) making do with the fabric left isn't it?
I’ve made that Double X block before. I kind of remember sewing it together every possible wrong way before I got it right. Your blocks are so pretty.
Kate this is going to be a beauty. I’m liking the way your blocks are coming along with the prompts. I, too am wondering what #3 will be.
I'm liking the deep blues as well!
Your blue fabrics are beautiful. Great block idea for this prompt! Thank you for sharing your work in progress and linking up.
You have us in suspense while we wait to see this all go together. It will surely be stunning.
