Stitching Stuff: Week 47 of 2025

It was a busy week.  The 2025 Guild BOM took up the early part of the week.  Once that quilt top was finished, making a start on the 2026 Guild BOM dominated my sewing time. All the "required" stitching stuff made for a good week on the stitching time front.

  • 15 minute days/week = 7/7 days
  • 15 minute days/Nov = 20/22 days
  • 15 minute days/2025 = 284/326 days
  • Success rate = 87.12%

All the sewing room time means I'm checking off a few things on this week's to do list. But it's hard to get to everything.  One more week left in November, and it's a holiday week.  We do have plans for later in the week, so I'm not sure how much stitching time I'll actually get in this week. Once we get to December I really need to think about Christmas. Advent starts next week.  Feeling unprepared is an understatement.

How are you doing at balancing stitching time with holiday prep?

December really is sneaking up on me, I remember thinking at the beginning of November that I had so much time to finish projects - not! I hope to get some quilting in today in between making rolls to freeze for Thanksgiving.

Woo Hoo on checking on making progress on your list this week, Kate. It is amazing how just a little time working on a project adds up.Right now I am doing fair at balancing my stitching time with the holiday preparations. I hope I can keep it up. LOL. Have a blessed day. Hugs.

Glad you got the 2025 guild quilt top done! That is a big accomplishment - to design and write the directions for a group quilt. It will be fun to see what you've designed for 2026, too. Are you headed to Houston for Thanksgiving?

Every year I say I'm going to start on Christmas early....never happens. I actually did get a few gifts made early but still have miles to go.
