Stitching Stuff: Week 25 of 2025

It's been quite week on the storm front thankfully. Summer has kicked in. Hot and humid are the words of the week.  Looks like we are in for  a lot of that over the next few weeks.  It's a good reason to hold up in the sewing room during those hot afternoons.  Which is pretty much what I did this week, it definitely helps with the sewing time.

  • 15 minute days/week = 7/7 days
  • 15 minute days/June = 21/21 days
  • 15 minute days/2025 = 165/172 days
  • Success rate = 95.93%

A good week on the stitching time front.  Not so good on the scrap processing or fabric closet organization.  The weekends have been a bit busy trying to get a few other things done around the house.  Hopefully I'll get back to that at some point this year.

Were you able to make time to stitch last week?

My room gets warmer during the summer, so I avoid it in the afternoon. I'm still trying to get my bobbin stitch right on the longarm.
Have you had wind up north? It basically stopped raining and acting like the Pacific Northwest here and has turned back into Texas hot, windy, and humid.

I've been busy and a visiting sewing buddy really facilitated a sew day or two! Finally got a good day of rain here in fiery Alberta!

That looks like it was a great week for you! I didn't get into my sewing room as much this week as I usually do, and I'm not really sure why. Hopefully this week will be better - I've got stuff I want to get to! Have a relaxing Sunday, Kate!

At least you're sewing away! I've been trying to clean up my cutting table but I can see that a pile or two of stuff has been put away but no one else can. Sigh. Must work harder (or maybe a little more frequently.!)

Hi Kate, I'm glad that you got things done despite the heat. It's too hot to spend any time in my studio, so it'll have to wait for the heat to break, and the new AC to be installed. Take care.

Hi Kate. Every time I hear of a storm in the Midwest; I worry about you. I hope the weather settles. It is hot here too. I will go outside in spurts, but that does leave me time to work on quilting while inside. Enjoy your day. Hugs.

The basement where I moved my craft room to is cold....might take 3 space heaters in the winter.
