Another Off the Design Wall

I'm slowly recovering from our yard work marathon on Saturday.  Thankfully my back and knees held up pretty well, it was the rest of me that hurt afterwards.  Even My Guy was feeling it on Sunday.  We definitely aren't as young as we used to be.

Even with the Saturday yard work excursion, I had a good week in the sewing room, Squared Away is sashed and bordered.

I'm pretty happy with how it came together.  This is upside down from how I've had it on the design wall during assembly, but it looks good from that direction too.  It will be next year before Squared Away is finished. My goal was to make progress on all the projects on my quilt plan. I've done that this year and it's only November.

What's next?  Definitely Old Town, the 2025 Bonnie Hunter mystery.  Those clues come fast and furious the next few weeks.  My goal is to see if I can keep up this year. I've never managed that before.

Linking up with Monday Design Wall and Patchwork & Quilts.

Your Squared Away quilt top looks great! Seeing it made me wonder how far I got on mine. I found it in the closet with the blocks joined into rows and prepped for quilt-as-you-go finishing.

Progress is progress. I need to start a plan for my 40+ UFOs and yet I keep starting new things.

Squared away is very pretty, the black fabric really makes the blocks pop. Enjoy stitching Old Town, hope you can keep up!

I'm going to be involved in house cleaning and food prep the rest of the week, so I'm jumping on here to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving!

Squared Away turned out so well! The multicolored cornerstones are a great touch. Congratulations on completing your annual goal. I have made two sets of flying geese for Old Town...so far.

Wow that looks great Kate! Yay for progress. Ugh for aches and pains—crazy how yard work can cause us to find muscles we never knew we had!

Squared Away looks great!! I've made only 1 set of the Flying Geese for Old Town so far. I used a light background, but am thinking of going with a dark background if I continue.

Squared Away is stunning, Kate. Beautiful job. It sounds like you had a busy weekend. I am sure you are happy to have the yard work completed before the coldness sets in. We still need to do a few last minute things ourselves. Today was nice and warm - a good day to be out. Have a blessed evening. Hugs.
