I'm working to catch up on this year's Rainbow Scrap Challenge project. I've not had a chance to investigate what orange scraps will go into this month's Vintage Dresses. I've made a start on the first of the purple dresses from last month, but not enough to show off anything at this point. The second brown dress didn't go together right and had to go through stitching rehab before it was mostly right.

The bow is still not quite right. I'll unstitch that seam and see if I can get it to line up better. That shouldn't take too long. This dress has so many little pieces in it that it was pretty intimidating looking at all of them lying on the sewing table. Though it's not perfect, I'm happy that it mostly looks like it's supposed to. This is my first attempt at a really complex paper piecing. I can't say that paper piecing is one of my favorite techniques, but it certainly produces results you can't get any other way.
Here's the first four dresses.

The pattern has 4 different dresses in it and there is one of each in the set up on the design wall. The brown polka dot dress is by far the hardest, the other three are pretty easy in comparison. I'm having fun picking the fabrics for each dress. Now I just need to get the purple dresses assembled and find some orange scraps for this month's dresses.
Linking up with Angela over at Soscrappy for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge.

I don't think you need to undo the bow. It reads a bow to me. I would like to wear the brown polka dot dress... if I still had a waistline that is. But it's just the kind of thing I would have worn as a young woman. LeeAnna
Love, love, love the dresses. Really, how often do you see a perfect bow? If I were you, I'd just move on to purple and orange.
Your dresses are so beautiful! Nicely done for such a challenging pattern.
These are looking so great! I can see what you mean about the polka dot dress being more complicated, but I think it looks perfect as is!
I love the little dotty brown and pink dress. The bow looks perfect to me. What a fashion show checking out the dresses every month.
Those are sooo cute! Perfect for Spring.
Love your dresses!!! They are something I could wear IRL, so beautiful!!
Love, love, love the brown polka dot dress! Yours is going to be such a fun quilt!

Personally, I'd let the bow go. It looks fine as it is. Move on to another one in another color. I love the vintage dresses for your scraps! Yes, 1/3 of the year is gone and wow, where did it go!
Your dresses are exquisite!
wow--your dresses have come out really good--did I tell you that I have done my own dresses--designed them to do in applique--I just got too stressed out trying to get the these dresses to come out right--sooo--you are much more patient than I am, I guess!!
love and laughter, di
The bow dress is my favorite, such cute polka dots. The waistband ones look like buttons. The bow looks fine to me, so don't worry yourself, just have fun.
Love that polka dot dress. That looks like something I might actually wear.
The brown polka dot dress may be hardest to sew - but it is so cute!!!
All the dresses are adorable! I'm with you, paper piecing is not my favorite, but definitely the way to go for some stunning results!
Lovely dresses. I have to be in the mood for paper piecing. Its a great method for such intricate designs. Love your dress blocks.
Those dresses are so awesome!!!!! Seriously! And I agree with all the folks who say the bow looks fine! These are some seriously fun blocks!
I really love your dresses. I am looking forward to seeing all of them in a quilt.
Your dresses look absolutely incredible! I love your fabric choices for them. I also agree that the bow on the polka dot dress doesn't need to be redone. Great work!
The dresses are really nice. You've done a great job with them.
