The Fat Quarter Stars Quilt is back from being quilted. It's been trimmed and the binding made, but that's as far as that one progressed. I did finish block 3 in the Grandmother's Choice BOW.

Block 3 was a lot easier than block 2. I'm really liking the dark purple with the green.
The first round of borders have been added to the Layer Cake Quilt Along project.

The border fabric doesn't photograph well, but it has the same teal color in it as the sashing. The pink in it really stands out in the photo. It looks a lot better in person. There will be one more narrow teal border than a wider border of the paisley. I was hoping the border would pull all the blocks together, but I'm not sure that's going to happen. The border print is from the same line as the fabric in the blocks, so I was hopeful it would have the desired effect.
That's what is up on my design walls. I'm linking up with Patchwork Times this week. Hop over there to see what's showing up on design walls every where.

Kate, your GC blocks look fabulous! Believe it or not, I had more trouble with this week's block than I did with last week's block. Near drove me crazy!! I love paisley -- I tried to click on the pic to get a better look at it. It looks like a really sweet fabric! :)
I like the green with the purple too! Your blocks are looking lovely.
The quilt top is coming together and I think your border plans will totally fulfill your wish for a cohesive look. Your piecing looks terrific.
You picked some excellent fabrics for this project.....Bravo!
Another great Grandmothers Choice block.
I really like the border fabric on your LCQA. I found that with my fabric for that quilt I din't think all the fabrics in the line really went together. Of course I never buy a fabric line so this QA just proved my belief. I have my top done and even the binding ready but still need to find a backing and get it quilted. Maybe after the first of the year.
