It's been almost a month since the last post on our photo challenge. This new deck of cards we started late last year has some challenging subjects, such as this one:
My Guy and I were going to go photograph at our local skate park. He got there first and took this photo.
All that remains of the skate park is the sign and a slab. The skate park was opened in 2020 and was really nice. I've searched our local news sources, but don't find any info on why it was removed.
We decided to end the challenge with just My Guy's photo. One of the problems with trying to photograph a skate park, is having a camera around kids when you don't have a kid there. That can be unsettling to a lot of people and none of us wanted to have a run in with an upset parent or the local police.
I'm not sure the next challenge card is any easier.
It will be interesting to see what we all come up with. I have a couple of ideas. Fingers crossed they aren't the same ones My Guy has.

I’ve missed your photo challenges!
That is good thinking about not getting other people's kids in your photos. The skate park photo your guy did get is interesting, and gives me lots of questions! I would want to know why it's closed, too - those are usually really popular.
Interesting card. I don't think we have skate parks here. I know there is a rink or two, but those are only open in winter.
Yikes…skate park. That *is* a hard one. I’ve had the same concerns when I’m taking photos in a public park or playground. I don’t want folks thinking I’m some kind of stalker. Crowds could be interesting. I have some ideas about it. Looking forward to what you decide on.
It does sound like there are some challenging cards in the mix. We do not have any skate parks in our county. About a decade ago , we would see some teenagers every now and then skate near the schools , but now, it is rare - well at least here that is. Looking forward to seeing what you and your hubby come up with in the next challenge.
Wow, and I was not even thinking about skate boards - I thought of roller skates, haha! Good idea on not photographing kids. We were talking with our daughter yesterday about how things have changed, even since she was little. And so many safeguards in place now that were unheard of in my day! Spoken like a true oldtimer - lol!
I wonder if it is an insurance thing or someone got hurt. I would have had a hard time with that photo too, and get more creative. Don't know how though. Maybe that sign from another angle would have worked.
