Week 3's SAHRR prompt comes from Emily of The Darling Dogwood. I did a bit of Google searching, some Pinterest searching, before finally turning to Electric Quilt for this week's response to the Animal Kingdom prompt.
The Bear Paw block was considered, but for an 8" block, Snail's Trail would be easier to make.
I paper pieced the block as that just seemed the easiest option. The lightest fabric may be too light, but as I'm using left overs, there's not a lot of options there. It fits in really well with the blocks from the first two prompts.
Linking up with The Darling Dogwood, Patchwork & Quilts, as well as, Sew and Tell Monday.

That was a great idea for the animal kingdom prompt! I've never made a snail's trail block - paper piecing does sound like a good method for construction. I like the look of your first three blocks in a row across the top like that!
It looks great with the other blocks. I need to get busy sewing my blocks together this afternoon so I will be ready for Round 4 on time!
I really love how all blues are coming together and I like the way you doing this SAHRR project--hugs, di
Snail's Trail was a great choice for your block!
Fun. I’ve always liked that snails trail block.
I thought about Snail's Trail too - I love it so much. Yours is really pretty, especially with the other blocks.
Oh, I like the light fabric! Snail's Trail works best with contrast and this block really sings with all those blues. Just gorgeous!
I love the Snails Trails in your blues! This looks great with what you have!
Your snails trail fits in so nicely with your other blocks. I've never pp it, but that is a fun idea too.
Snail's Trail is a great choice. Looks good with the previous ones.
