Moose on the Porch Layer Cake Quilt Along by Konda Luckau |
It's not one of my favorite projects. The layer cake was actually bought for another project, a quilt for Drama Teen's school auction. I used a few of the 10" squares, but had a bunch left over. So the only name I've come up with is "Leftovers". Any other suggestions?
The square in a square blocks for Midnight Mystery are slowly multiplying.

Now that I've got more up on the wall, I'm less concerned about the black and red tulip print. The clue calls for 34 of these blocks, so I'm not quite half way there.
I finally finished up the last black Twinkle Star block.

I really like this set. Back to Square one is up on the big design wall, so I can't throw these up to see how they look with the other blocks. I hope they aren't too dark to blend in with the others.
That's it for my WIPs this week. I'm linking up with WIPs on Wednesday, WIP Wednesday, and Needle and Thread Thursday.

Looks like you're keeping busy. I really like those twinkling stars.
Lots of great projects - love the new stars.
How about "Second Time Around"? You are really accomplishing quite a body of work this year........
Your Twinkle star blocks look fantastic! I have a FQ of that black and red tulip print in my stash -- it was too lovely to pass up, but I never figured out what to do with it. Or at least, not yet! It looks great in your quilt.
I love your twinkle stars, the pops of colour really sparkle.
I was so tempted by the Midnight Mystery quilt. I have a window open on my laptop and am trying so hard to resist!

Beautiful black stars! I would not have guessed how great they'd look. Thanks for the link to the tutorial.
Your black starts look fantastic! Also I think the black and red tulip fabric looks every effective in amongst your other blocks.
I LOVE your twinkle stars. Good job on getting all this done.
