There are no new finishes, but at least there are no new starts.
The PHD report is pretty much unchanged from last month's. That doesn't mean there hasn't been some progress on a few projects.
Morewood just needs to be pressed and de-threaded before it's sent out for quilting.
Progress has stalled on that front. Hopefully I'll have lots of time in the sewing room this weekend to finish up that chore.
Just two more rows of blocks to stitch together for Cabins and Fans.
Once Morewood is prepped, I'll get back to stitching on this project.
Unity is moving slowly, but it's progressing.
Just one border left on Step 7. I'm so ready to move on to a new block!
With Morewood rolling off the active project list, it was time to find another UFO to add to the rotation. My 2013 Rainbow Scrap Project, Scrappy Butterflies, will be back on the active list till it's finished.
Figuring out how to set these blocks together is what's kept it on the UFO list for so long. I really like the Irish Chain setting, but I don't like how the butterflies on the edges aren't completely framed. It looks incomplete to my eye. So this may not be the final setting, but it's close.
Fingers crossed that August is more productive and less stressful than July was. Linking up with Quilting Gail for the July PHD update.

Life does get in the way sometimes, and that is usually OK. The shoulder pain isn't good however, and hopefully that is on the mend. I've been fighting a knee problem, but that has maybe added to my sewing time. Once I hobble down those stairs I stay put. LOL
My goodness!! Look at you go!! thats really cool to have the side by side photos!!! you have been making a LOT of progress!!!
What beautiful projects. I really love your Cabins and Fans quilt; the colors are so striking.
EEkes!!! I hope your shoulder recovers fully!!! That is NO FUN!!!
I'm liking the chain setting of your butterfly!!! I actually really really like it!
Hope you can get back into quilting, even if it's just a little at a time!
Stuff happens and no one is keeping score except you. I think the butterflies are fine as currently planned, but I understand how you feel. Take care of yourself.
Wishing you the best of luck with August. I also am dealing with health issues and know what it's like to be blocked from sewing. Your progress is still terrific on the UFO list. Well done!!!
I can sympathize with your shoulder injury. I was sidelined for about 17 days with a pulled muscle in my lower left arm which kept me from sewing, gardening, driving, and lots of basic daily duties. Much better now, except for the occasional twinge when I move it too fast.
I think the butterflies look fine as is, but I know if it bothers you, you'll keep searching for a solution. Do what can, when you can.
Pat
They all look great - the numbers really don’t show the progress that you’re making!
