The requirement is to select one quilt related goal and finish it by the end of the month. It doesn't have to be a finish. That's always my problem it's rare that I can finish a quilt in a month. Since I have 8 quilts and plans to start 7, having a monthly linky where I have to show some accountability usually helps with my motivation. So I'm going to give it a try.
So for January, my goal is to get McCall's Mystery ready for to send out for quilting. The center is all assembled.

Now it just needs the borders pieced and attached, as well as the backing pieced before it can go out to be quilted. So that's my one monthly goal for January.

Looking good, Kate. That is a lovely focus fabric you have in the centre of your blocks. Good luck with your January goal.
One monthly goal sounds like a doable idea. I really do love the florals in this one and blue and yellow in my favorite combo.
I'm glad you posted that link. I was sad to see that a Lovely Year of Finishes was ending just as I was determined to finish my UFOs. I like your McCalls Mystery and good luck with getting it finished for January. I wish I could send out quilts for quilting. That's the part I often dread doing - plus the extra time spent doing it.
Thank you for linking up with the new group Kate! Your flimsy is beautiful, and in my mother's favorite combo. I am also working on a blue and yellow quilt, but cannot post pictures since the quilt is a surprise for mom!
What a fun way to do up the McCalls' Mystery Quilt Kate. Was the floral fabric your inspiration? Best wishes with your One Monthly Goal!
What a cheerful quilt!! I hate making/attaching borders and making backings for quilts, so I procrastinate!!! Good luck on making your goal for OMG!!
It's a beautiful quilt. I like that you say you have 8 quilts on the go and plans for seven more. That sounds a lot like me.
I didn't learn about the Lovely Year of Finishes until last year and never really looked deeply into it. You're the second blogger who has come up with a new plan to replace ALYOF. Now you guys have me thinking about taking up the challenge. :-)
Looks good, thanks for posting about the new linky party, I had not heard about it.
What wonderful colours and a great quilt to start the year off with.
Yep, I'm in too, finally. I guess the way to succeed at this is to plan how to succeed. I think I'll cut the extra blocks I need right away and then use them as leader enders so I get them done fairly early. That's a fun, springy quilt. I love blue and yellow together.
It's a beautiful top to get ready ; love the pretty fabrics / colors in this one.
