To Do List for the Week of 9/5/2023

How was your Labor Day holiday?  We kept ours really low key this year.  I spent a lot of the weekend in my sewing room. Consequently I did really well on checking off all the items on last week's to do list.

To Do List for 8/29/2023

1. Macaron Mystery: Continue piecing backing ✔

2. Scrappy Butterflies: Continue making border blocks, start assembly

3. Wild & Goosey: Make 2 aqua blocks

4. Chilhowie: Continue as leaders/enders project

My goal is to make progress on my projects, so the items on my to do list are mostly just "keep working on" and not finish this step.  That does make it a lot easier to check off an item.  This week's to do list has more "finish" goals in it.

To Do List for 9/5/2023

1. Macaron Mystery (Meadow Mist Designs): Prep back for quilting

I finished piecing the back for Macaron. It's not as cool looking as I thought it would be, but it's the back so that's OK.  Now it needs a good pressing and a good going over with a lint roller before packing  it up to send out.

2.  Scrappy Butterflies (self design): Finish border blocks, finish top assembly

There are just two border blocks left to finish.  The top three rows are already sewn together and the bottom two are pinned ready for stitching when I get back to the sewing room this afternoon.

3. Wild and Goosey (Bonnie Hunter): Make 2 aqua/teal blocks

I finished two and started cutting a few scraps for more.  I thought i had more teal scraps in my bins, but there's not many.  So I probably need to raid my fat quarters to improve the variety of scraps in the teal/aqua pile.

4. Malted Mystery (Meadow Mist Designs): Start on clue 3

The first piecing clue comes out this Thursday. I'll have all month to finish the clue, but I'm hoping to get a good start on it this week.

5. Chilhowie (Bonnie Hunter): Continue as leaders and enders

Block 7 of 9 is under construction.  This has been slow going, but at least there has been steady progress on this project all year.  I'm hoping that all the blocks are finished by the time this year's mystery comes out.

That's my list for this week.  Linking up with The Quilt Schmilt: For the Love of Fabric for this week's To Do Tuesday

Your short lists are so much more realistic than my long lists. Maybe that's why I keep getting distracted from the list projects. LOL

Our Labor Day weekend was pretty low-key, too, and that was okay with me! You got a lot done last week. I think your backing for the Macaron Mystery looks neat! Are you using leftover blocks in that strip? Good luck getting it all ready for quilting.

You've had a great productive week, my pillowcases took top priority so two things on my list got bumped to next week lol

It looks to me like your steady progress is really starting to pay off and the amount of quilts finished or close to being finished recently is fantastic! Here's to a great week of sewing. :)
