It was a quiet weekend. Drama Teen dealt with her case of strep by sleeping most of the Saturday, it always takes a while for those antibiotics to kick in it seems. I came down with a stomach bug Saturday afternoon. I spent most of the afternoon asleep as well. Which was probably just as well, it really was too hot do much outside. Even the wildflowers are starting to fade a bit in the heat.
There are still a lot of Black Eyed Susans blooming, but that's about it for wildflowers around here at the moment. They'll be others that start to bloom when it begins to cool down in September.
The hot weather has been good for the stash report. Well actually I should attribute that to needing a back for Grand Illusion. That really makes the stash report look good this week. Even better, there is another quilt back in the works. That definitely didn't hurt this week's numbers.
Used last week: 5.60 yards
Used in August: 5.60 yards
Used year to date: 23.89 yards
Purchased year to date: 10.25 yards
Net used for 2015: 13.64 yards
This is the best stash busting week yet for 2015. Check out all the other reports of fabric in and out posted over at Patchwork Times.

Yes, quilt backs really make a big difference in the stash report. Well done!
Pretty photo! Yes, quilt backs do help the numbers. Hope you use some more for binding quick!
If I kept track, it probably would help ... black-eyed Susans are my favorite. They are Maryland's state flower and grown abundantly in Michigan where I used to vacation. Good memories.
Even though you've had a rough week with illnesses and car issues, you still managed to knock down that stash. Way to go! Hope everyone is on the mend and the car is back in working order.
Sorry to hear you were under the weather. Hope things are back to normal. Good numbers and I agree, pieced backings really do help the stash report.
Great outage for the week!
