It's already been a long week and it's just Tuesday! I was back at the office yesterday for the first time in about 7 weeks. It didn't seem weird, I thought it would. I've worked there so long it was like putting on a very well used and comfortable pair of shoes.
On the other hand, checking off the weekly to do list hasn't been as easy.
Weekly To Do List for 05/05/2020
Mosaic Mystery: Prep top for quilting- No progress
Frolic: Make 1 light blue block ✔
Unity: Finish Step 2 - Progress
Face masks: make 5 ✔
Not a bad week all in all. Progress on three projects isn't at all shabby. But no progress on prepping Mosaic Mystery. I just really wanted to sew this weekend, prepping the top just didn't appeal at all. So we'll see if I have more of a just get it done attitude this week.
Weekly To Do List for 05/12/2020
Mosaic Mystery: Prep top for quilting, package for shipping
Frolic: Make 1 light blue block
I need to cut some more black squares and then I'll have all the bits and pieces needed to assemble this block.
Unity: Finish Step 2
This has been on m to do list for the last three weeks. I've made a lot of progress, I just need to finish making the square in a square blocks and all the pieces for step 2 will be done. Hopefully I'll actually get this step done this week.
Face masks: Make 2 more.
I finished 5 masks last week, but that total include 2 for the Scientist in Training. One was a tester to determine if the smaller size was better for me. The smaller size wasn't a good fit for me, but it fit the SIT perfectly. So she asked for one more out of chemistry fabric. Now we have matching masks, but I still need two more to have enough to make it through the work week. I've got both patterns figured out well enough that it's not to hard to stitch one up while working on other projects.
That's the plan for this week. Hopefully it will go better than last week's plan. Linking up with Home Sewn By Us for To Do Tuesday. Good luck with your weekly to dos.

Those masks are perfect!! Good luck on accomplishing your goals this week.
I haven't tried that shape for the mask yet - which pattern are you using I am looking at various ones trying to get one that will be easy going through my machine - the pleated one is hard on the machine
Your masks are great and so is your economy block project! Have a great week!
Those are great masks for the SIT. She’s going to be the envy of the lab.
You're making progress all around! Great job getting back to work. Interesting that it all feels back to the regular.
Off to see if I can find which pattern you used for your masks, as the one I made in a similar shape didn't work very well for us. Good luck with working thru this week's goal list!
Hi Kate! Your masks are fun and just perfect for your SIT. That sure is fun fabric! In my mind, any progress in any form is great. My own ambition has been fleeting - just about anything can cause it to flit away. I love your square-in-a-square blocks. Good job. Thanks for linking up this week. ~smile~ Roseanne
Just going back to work these days is huge, but it must feel like a little bit of normal amid all the abnormal. So are little bits of progress on your different projects. Love the science fabric for your masks! Do you have to wear one all day at work?
I'm also interested in what pattern you used for the masks. The one I used of that style (recommended on several blogs) just didn't fit me well enough. The lower part was a straight line and yours looks like it is curved. Good luck with the rest of the work week and hope you get some sewing time in.

Progress on three projects is certainly wonderful! I love your mask fabric!
Your are so good to be making masks, just about the most useful stitching right now. And that guy of yours is definitely a keeper. My guy only knows how to make tea!
Those masks are awesome! Which pattern are you using?
